Save The Date - Our annual Antique Appraisal Fair is coming September 3rd. We will be at Garth's Antiques and Auction Gallery, 3930 Navy Boulevard from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This will be an opportunity for the public to bring items for area antique dealers and experts to appraise. $5.00 allows you to have one object appraised. Additional objects may be appraised for $3.00 apiece.

[05/08/16]   Last Wednesday we had 3 visitors that arrived by Segways. They were part of the Emerald Coast Segway Tours and were visiting our city from Louisiana. Beverly gave them a tour of the Quina House. Fun Times.

[02/04/16]   Pensacola Historical Preservation Society will again participate in the annual Escambia County History Fair this month. We will be judging student essays and awarding the winners with gift cards to a local Book Store.

[11/11/15]   The weather has turned cooler and it the perfect time of year to visit the Quina House museum. It's FREE - open Tuesday through Saturday from 12:00 until 4:00.

[11/06/15]   Great Gulf Coast Art Festival opens Friday Nov 6 thru 8. The museum will be open 12:00 til 4:00 and docents will be in costume for free tours. Please come by and enjoy stepping back into the 1800's. Our favorite artists will be out in front. Lots of festivities.

[10/14/15]   Saturday the 17th we are hosting Historical Walking Tours Lead by 3 of Pensacola's finest Historians. Tours are at 10:00, 12:00 and 2:00 and start at the Quina House. They are FREE. Also Free refreshments after each tour back at the Quina House. Everyone is welcome!!

[09/25/15]   Today starts the weekend of the Seafood Festival. We have four talented artists set up in front of the Museum. Come on down to the festival and see the wonderful arts and crafts and delicious seafood.

We have a panel of certified appraisers who will identify your antique/collectible and estimate its value. Location is Garth's Antiques 3930 Navy Blvd, Pensacola. Time is 9:00-2:00 Your first item is $5, then $3 for any additional items. This is a fundraiser for our non-profit to keep the Quina House Museum open free of charge to our visitors. Find out what that old thing-a-ma-jig in the attic really is.

[10/30/14]   Huge Yard Sale at the Quina House Museum Saturday. Its a fundraiser and there will be loads of bargains. Come on down Saturday Nov 1 from 8:00 til 1:00. Treasures from the attic, furniture, jewelry, small appliances, home decor, toys, and stuff to resell on E-bay.

[08/31/14]   Our Antique Appraisal Fair was a huge success. The Pensacola Historic Preservation Society made $972 in 6 hours. WooHoo! Thank you to the PHPS volunteers, Pizza Hut on Chiefs Way, Garth's Antiques and the folks who came out to support us.

[08/14/14]   Our monthly luncheon will have Charlie Davis as program speaker. He will delight us with tales of "Summers in Pensacola". He is the author of "Growing Up In Pensacola". Date: Saturday the 16th, 11:30, Carpenters Creek on Davis HWY.(conference room), Lunch is $7. or just come for the free program at 12:00. Lunch reservations 582-3842. Open to all!

[06/28/14]   Today we have a table set up at the Palafox Market. We are on the corner of Palafox and Chase Street. Our historical cookbooks are selling like crazy. We plan to be there at least one Saturday per month. Check back for dates. The market is open 8-2:00.

[03/31/14]   Saturday April 19th (11:30) we will have Nick Schuck owner of Emerald Coast Tours, speak at our luncheon regarding the Historic District of Pensacola "Then and Now". Lunch is $7, but you can attend the program free of charge. Call 582-3842 for reservations and location info.

[03/19/14]   March 24th we start our first event for children. These are organized group tours with costumed docents, tour of the museum, program on "activities children would have engaged in 200 years ago", and toys reminiscent of the 1800's for the students to take home.
