We had the chance to reinforce learning by connecting knowledge with experience this week. We had an opportunity to visit the Pleasant Grove Elementary School construction performed by Wharton-Smith. Students got the chance to see ICF construction, brick masonry, MEP systems, asphalt construction, and many other elements of the construction industry. And most importantly they saw the power of working as a team. Special thanks go to WS and UWF-ABC Student chapter for organizing such a great event.
Today we had Dr. Saleh Mubarak as our guest speaker in the scheduling class. We covered how to determine the duration of the activities and the connection between duration and cost along with other helpful information. It was a great opportunity for the students to meet with the writer of the textbook. Thank you Dr. Mubarak for making time for us.

UWF Construction Management updated their website address.
UWF Construction Management welcomes Bruce D. Partington as a Professor for a Day on November 5, 2019 for the BCN 4701 - Construction Administration class.
We are very grateful for Mr. Partington's participation. Please join us in thanking him for his service.
Bruce D. Partington’s personal philosophy for tackling each case is simple: thorough preparation regarding all aspects of the case including legal, factual, and technical. Board Certified in Construction Law since 2005, his practice is largely devoted to this area, as well as other commercial, real property and insurance litigation. Partington regularly represents those involved with the construction and development process such as private owners and developers, design professionals, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
He is regularly called upon for his experience in both contract drafting and dispute resolution processes in public and private projects throughout Florida and beyond, in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration and mediation.
Partington followed in his father’s footsteps and has been practicing law at Clark Partington for more than 29 years. His greatest hope for the future of his practice is that more clients will come to understand their lawyers as trusted advisors who can assist in avoiding problems, rather than only being hired to help solve problems after they have already occurred. When he’s not expanding his knowledge on the ever-changing world of law, he enjoys spending time with his family, sailing, backpacking, and doing anything in, on, or around the water.
