🌟 Seville Rotary Club Meeting Highlights
Yesterday, we had the honor of hosting
our District 6940 Governor, Mike Tatem, and our Area Governor, Deb Hild.
They shared insights about the goals
and themes for Rotary International and District 6940 for the 2024-2025 year.
It was an enlightening session, reinforcing our commitment to making a difference globally.
A huge shout out to our five members
with prestigious Paul Harris Fellow recognition. This honor acknowledges individuals who contribute, or have contributions made in their name,
of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation.
What an honor! 🎉
Our evening didn’t end there.
We enjoyed a fantastic fellowship dinner with Governor Mike Tatem and got to know him better. Here’s a bit about him:
Mike has been a pastor for 30 years, serving the last 18 years in Lake City, FL
at Parkview Baptist Church. Born and raised in Miami, he lived there until 2006, except for a three-year term in the Army
in Germany. Before becoming a pastor,
he was a crew chief on a helicopter in the Army and then a transportation supervisor for Ryder Dedicated Logistics.
Mike has been a dedicated member of the Rotary Club of Lake City for 15 years. He served as Club President in 2017-2018 and has held multiple terms as the Club Treasurer. Additionally, he served as District Treasurer in 2018-2019, Area Governor from 2019-2022, and District Membership Chair from 2020-2023. He is now honored to serve as the 111th Governor of District 6940.
Please feel free to come to our next meeting and experience how we make a difference within

the Flags for Heroes fundraiser and community event last night 🇺🇸
We have placed over 200 flags
at Veterans Memorial Park to honor
our veterans.
This park is a sanctuary dedicated to commemorating our people’s
fortitude and honoring the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy as citizens of the United States.
The flags will fly from
May 14th to May 28th to show our unwavering support and gratitude
to our veterans.
Why It’s So Important:
This event is a meaningful way for our community to recognize and remember the sacrifices made by our veterans.
By placing these flags, we honor the bravery and dedication of those who served and ensure their legacy is remembered. As the sign in the park reminds us, “Freedom is not free,”
and this display is a powerful tribute
to the cost of our freedom🗽
Join us in maintaining the dignity
of this sacred park and giving remembrance to those who served.
