Please join us tonight in celebrating the exceptional artwork of Pensacola State College Visual Arts students at the Annual Student Art Awards Exhibition. Exhibition begins at 5pm and the awards ceremony starts at 5:30.

We are proud to announce that our photography students won 1st and 2nd place at the SkillsUSA Florida State Competition. Congratulations Ralitsa Mihaylova for winning a Gold medal and Amy Athans for winning a Silver medal. We will be headed to SkillUSA Nationals in Atlanta in June.

Please join us this evening at 5 pm for the announcement of the winner of the Annual Jaco's Sunset Photo Contest. The advanced photo students worked diligently to photograph sunsets at Jaco's Bar and Grille. Patrons of the restaurant and Facebook fans voted for their favorite images. The winner of the contest will be awarded a solo exhibition opening in April 2023.

It is that time of year again.
The photo students put their work up at Jaco's Bayfront Bar and Grille the images will be up through the end of the month.
In-person (at the restaurant) voting and Facebook voting is still going to choose the winner.

Jaco’s has contributed more than $12,000 to the Student Photography Award Fund, which supports the PSC Photography Program. Any donations received for the 2023 calendars will go toward the Student Photography Award Fund.
Every year we work with the Pensacola State College Photography Department and hold an annual Sunset Photography Contest. We love being able to support the students and display their work on our walls! We turn their beautiful photos into a calendar for the following year. Our 2023 calendars are now available! These are free while supplies last. Make sure to pick yours up today!

Show and Tell!
Faculty exhibition and reception tomorrow night! On October 20 at 4:30 p.m. in Lecture Hall 1590, Artist Introductions will be provided, and the Opening Reception will follow from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Show & Tell! reveals a collection of artworks created by the faculty of the Visual Arts Department at Pensacola State College.
The artworks will be on display in the Switzer Gallery from October 10 through October 28, 2022.
All events are free and open to the public.

Please join us Wednesday, September 14, 5 – 7:30 p.m. at Building 15, Pensacola State College, for the opening reception of a unique immersive installation created by artist Tra Bouscaren. His new multimedia artwork is specifically constructed for the Lamar Studio in the Anna Lamar Switzer Center for Visual Arts. Prior to the reception is the artist's lecture at 3 p.m. in room 1513. All are welcome to attend!

An artist reception of artworks by ceramic artist Justin Quaid Grubb and sculpture artist Jimmy Rhea on display at the Charles W. Lamar Studio Gallery in the Anna Lamar Switzer Center for Visual Arts on May 30-July 25. Open reception: Thursday, June 2, 5 p.m.- 7:30 p.m. All events are free and open to the public.
