Amanda Eve is originally from Southfield, Michigan and began her training in the Cecchetti method of ballet and Horton, Dunham, and Graham techniques of modern dance at The Link School of the Arts. She graduated the University of Oklahoma - School of Dance (2016) with a Bachelors of Fine Arts and minor in Nonprofit Management. While at university, she was honored to tour to Eisenstadt, Austria to perform in the âHaydentageâ Festival (2014). Following graduation, Amanda Eve danced with the Louisville Ballet for their 2016-2018 seasons, performing works by notable choreographers George Balanchine,Val Caniparoli, Lucas Jervies, Adam Hougland, and Stephen Baynes. She then joined Fort Wayne Ballet from 2018-2022. Amanda Eve was honored to have represented Fort Wayne Ballet on the tour to Taizhou, China with Sister Cities International (2018), and to have performed her first principal role in Fort Wayne Balletâs production of Cinderella (2019). She has since has performed works by notable choreographers Robert Joffrey, Gerald Arpino, Edward Stierle, David Ingram, and Cynthia Pratt. Amanda Eve joined Ballet Pensacola for their 2022/2023 season and is excited to be part of their 45th anniversary season (2023/2024).

Gabriel Jaime Posada Arango was born in Cali, Colombia, where he began his training with INCOLBALLET, The National Ballet of Colombia. He trained from a very young age in many different styles of dance such as Contemporary, Spanish and Classical Ballet. At the age of 18, Gabriel was the honorary recipient of a full scholarship to move to New York City to continue his dancing with the pre-professional division of the internationally renowned Ballet Academy East (BAE). In 2021, Mr. Arango moved to Florida where he danced with Fort Lauderdale Youth Ballet and during his time there, he was offered a full scholarship to join the Internationally acclaimed Miami City Ballet pre-professional division where he graduated in 2022. During Gabrielâs career thus far, he has enjoyed performing in many traditional repertory ballet productions as well as in several innovative pieces from some of the industries most recognized choreographers and coaches in the field such as; Anabelle Lopez Ochoa, Aranxta Ochoa, Charles Askegard, Cherry Yeager, Darla Hoover, Gonzalo Galguera, Gonzalo Garcia, Jenna Lavin, Juan Carlos Penuela, Maxim Beloserovsky & Stacy Calvert. Some of Mr. Arangoâs most notable and favorite roles to date include; Prince DĂ©sirĂ© & The Bluebird in The Sleeping Beauty, Basilio and The Bullfighters in Don Quixote, The Sugar Plum Fairy Cavalier and Arabian Prince in The Nutcracker & both the Paquita & Harlequinade Pas de Deux.
Mr. Arango was delighted to join Ballet Pensacola in the 2022-2023 Season as a Principal Dancer and looks forward to his second season with the company.

ADULTS!! Are you wanting to work on your ballet skills or are interested in starting?đđ©°đ
Enroll into our Ballet for Adults class (must be 16 and up)!
This class runs on a semester basis, August-November 2023 and then January-April 2024 ($125 per semester)

Elizabeth Nichols is originally from Enfield, Connecticut. She began her dance training with Connecticut Concert Ballet at the age of 3. When she was 12 years old, she was selected to train and perform as a pre-professional with the modern dance company DancEnlight, under the artistic direction of Lorelei Chang. With DancEnlight she performed at events such as the Ted Hershey Dance and Music Marathon and the Hartford Dragon Boat Festival. Elizabeth has attended several summer intensives and workshops including those with Ballet Hartford, Earl Mosley Institute of the Arts, Jose Limon Dance Company, and Kibbutz contemporary dance company in Israel. This will be her second season with the professional company.

Abigail Dudich is from Oak Forest, IL, where she began dancing at the age of 4. She received much of her formal ballet training at A&A Ballet in Chicago, IL as well as The Academy of Dance Arts in Warrenville, IL and has performed in productions of Cinderella, The Nutcracker, and Sleeping Beauty. She had the opportunity to perform at the âBravissimo International Festivalâ in Guatemala in 2019 and performed with Chicago Opera Theatre in their production of âAlekoâ in 2019 as well. She has also attended summer programs with Ellison Ballet as well as Joffrey Ballet (Chicago). She joined Ballet Pensacola as a member of the Corps de Ballet in August of 2022. Throughout the season, she danced a Soloist Role in La Sylphide (Phantom of the Opera), Bo Peep and Rose Demi-Soloist (The Nutcracker), the Brave Pas De Deux (Odyssey) and at the end of the season, was promoted to Professional Dancer. Abigail is excited to begin her second season with Ballet Pensacola.

Felipe Moisés Zapiola was born in Salta Capital, Argentina. He started dancing when he was 11 at the Numen Foundation, under the direction of Andrea Montero. Mr. Zapiola has performed in numerous ballet competitions, receiving special mentions, gold, silver and bronze medals; as well as the prizes for revelation dancer and outstanding dancer where he received several scholarships to participate in different summer intensives.
Felipe had the opportunity to participate in the ballet company in the city of Salta, under the direction of Paula Arguelles. Here he performed in The Nutcracker and Giselle, sharing the stage with Marianela Nuñez. In 2018 he entered his 5th year at the Instituto Superior de Artes del Teatro ColĂłn, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he performed with the school in The Nutcracker. While studying there, he had the opportunity to perform with The Teatro Colon Company, under the direction of the international dancer Paloma Herrera, performing Le Corsaire, Coppelia, and also worked with internationally renowned choreographers and composers, including Julio Bocca. During these productions, he performed alongside several great dancers, including Maria Kochetkova, Daniil Simkin, and Herman Cornejo. Felipe had the opportunity to dance in different cities in Argentina such as CĂłrdoba, Jujuy, TucumĂĄn and Buenos Aires, he was also invited to interpret a leading role as Franz in Coppelia, in Bolivia. In 2019, he received a full scholarship with Miami City Ballet School and joined the pre-professional program where Felipe performed principal and solo roles in Who Cares, Western Symphony choreographed by George Balanchine, and 2- and 3-part inventions by Jerome Robbins, and different ballet pieces by Durante Verzola. During his time at Miami City Ballet School, Felipe was invited to perform with Miami City Ballet in Firebird, Swan Lake, Jewels and Prodigal Son. He danced to the repertoire of some of the most celebrated choreographers in the industry, such as George Balanchine, Alexei Ratmansky and Jerome Robbins. After graduating from Miami City Ballet School, Felipe joined Ballet Pensacola as a principal dancer where he played several leading and solo roles in different ballet works such as The Phantom of the Opera, The Nutcracker, the Military Appreciation Performance and the premier of A Midsummer Night's Dream choreographed by Darren McIntyre. He also had the opportunity to perform in Forty Forward and Carousel with Pensacola Opera for their 40th Anniversary Gala. Carousel was directed and choreographed by Greg Ganakas. This is Felipeâs second season with Ballet Pensacola.

Today marks the end of our Young Dancer Intensive and Ballet Boot Camp!
We had a wonderful time with these lovely dancers and we cannot wait to see these faces againđđ©°âïž

Welcome back Emma Everts for her second season with Ballet Pensacola!!
Emma grew up in Los Alamitos, California and started her dance training at Orange County Dance Center. She attended summer programs at Joffrey Ballet, Ballet West, Oklahoma City Ballet, and Milwaukee Ballet. At age 17, she joined Rolando Yaneâs pre-professional training program at Milwaukee Ballet. The season after, she joined Milwaukee Ballet II for 2 seasons. With Milwaukee Ballet, she performed in Michael Pinkâs Nutcracker, Milwaukee Ballet IIâs show, Momentum, and various community outreach shows around the city of Milwaukee. She joined Ballet Pensacola in 2022 as a Corps de Ballet member and enjoyed dancing Mr. McIntyreâs original works. Emma is a certified pilates instructor and teaches pilates as well as ballet and contemporary at various studios around Pensacola. She is grateful to have started her own program for students with disabilities to find dance in their lives, called Mudita, at Ballet Pensacola. As well, Emma continued her studies while dancing and has obtained her degree in health science. She is excited and grateful to continue her career with her second season at Ballet Pensacola!

Pensacola, please welcome back (and say Happy Birthday to) Simeon Saub!!
Simeon Saub began her professional training at the Omaha Academy of ballet under the instruction of Juliette Henning, and at Ballet Nebraskaâs pre-professional program both in 2016. Simeon has participated at Kansas City Balletâs Summer program, and has held Internships at Boston Ballet and Ballet West. She received her Bachelor of Arts Summa Cum Laude in both Dance and French with a minor in English. There she performed under the direction of esteemed Alabama Dance Faculty; Qianping Guo, Rita Snyder, and Dr. Fen Kennedy. Simeon has performed in and choreographed for several student-led productions at the University as well. Simeon has had a phenomenal first professional year as a Corps de Ballet member, and is ready to welcome another this upcoming season!

We are so happy to have Hannah Holtsclaw coming back for her sixth season with Ballet Pensacola!
Hannah Holtsclaw is from Andover, Connecticut where she began training at Connecticut Concert Ballet. Holtsclaw is entering her sixth season as a principal or leading dancer with Ballet Pensacola, where she has performed the roles of Titania in A Midsummer Nightâs Dream, Christine in The Phantom of the Opera, Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, Lucy in Dracula, Clara & Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Snow White, and Paquita. In addition to dancing with the professional company, Holtsclaw is Pre-Primary Division Manager and teaches modern and character dance for Ballet Pensacolaâs Academy. Holtsclaw was nominated as In-weeklyâs Best of the Coast runner up for âBest Local Celebrity 2022â after she was featured in Emerald Coast Magazineâs article, On Pointe in April/May 2022. Holtsclaw holds a B.F.A. in dance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), where she studied under the direction of Qi Jiang and performed the principal role of Nikiya in La Bayadere. While at CCM, Holtsclaw collaborated with conductor Mark Gibson, Director of Orchestral Studies to choreograph and stage CCMâs rendition of Ravelâs BolĂ©ro for the conservatoryâs 150th anniversary celebration and concurrently choreographed and staged an original piece, Letters from Reims, for the Student Choreographerâs Showcase. Holtsclaw has worked with world-renowned choreographer, Peter Chu at Regional Dance America (RDA) and was conferred the 2019 Choreography Connection Award for her original work staged at the 2019 National Choreography Intensive. Holtsclaw choreographed an original contemporary piece, Absolute, for Collin County Ballet Theatreâs Ballet Fete 2020 in Dallas, Texas and debuted her original rendition of The Nutcracker, choreographing on Ballet Pensacolaâs professional company and academy in December 2020. Prior to attending CCM, Holtsclaw trained in the Vaganova method at Bossov Ballet Theatre at Maine Central Institute under the tutelage of Artistic Director, Natalya Nikolaevna Getman, where she danced the roles of Pas DâEsclave, Blue Bird Pas De Deux, Four Swans, Swan Lake Pas De Trois, and principal roles in Don Quixote, Giselle, The Ugly Duckling and The Nutcracker.

Classes for this two week program include Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre, and Pilates! Boot Camp is for ages 7-10 Monday through Thursday and will conclude with an in-studio performance.

Savannah Crabtree will be back in our studios and on stage with us for our 2023-2024 Season!
Savannah Crabtree is from Destin, Florida. She grew up dancing and training at the Northwest Florida Ballet for 10 years. When she graduated from their high school, she joined their pre-professional program. In 2019, she joined the Pittsburgh Ballet Theaterâs graduate program. She danced and performed with the Pittsburgh Ballet Theaterâs company during their season in 2020. In addition, she received scholarships to summer intensives at Atlanta Ballet, Next-generation ballet, and Pittsburgh Ballet Theater. She joined Ballet Pensacola in the corps de ballet in September 2021 and became a soloist in May 2022. Her repertoire includes Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz, Tinker Bell from Peter Pan, the Snow Queen in The Nutcracker and the doll from Fairy Doll. The 2023-2024 season is Savannah's third season with Ballet Pensacola.

We are so happy to have Juan Arango back with us for another incredible season!
Juan Guillermo Arango Villa was born in Medellin, Colombia, where he first started his ballet training at the age of 8 at Andrea Wolff Ballet under the direction of Andrea Wolff. By 9 years old, he took part in a local summer intensive at his home studio, learning the Miami City Ballet School curriculum with an international teacher and faculty member Kim Sonderegger.
Juan was offered a full scholarship for the Miami City Ballet Summer Intensive program in 2010, where he went continuously for the next several years. During his time in Miami, he had the opportunity to work with many internationally proclaimed dancers and directors such as Edward Vilella, Lourdes Lopez and Arantxa Ochoa. He was ecstatic when he became an honorary full scholarship recipient to join the pre-professional division in 2016 and graduated in 2020. During his time in Florida, he also attended the Orlando Ballet Summer intensive in 2016.
Juan has had the opportunity to perform multiple Corps de Ballet, Soloist and Principal Roles in major productions such as The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, La Bayadere, Le Corsaire, The Sleeping Beauty, Iuvenalis, Carnival of the animals, Balabille, Coppelia, Divertimento N-15, Faena Arts Dance with Me, Le Petite Dance, Napoli, Serenade, Stars and Stripes, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Jewels. During his career thus far, he has had the opportunity to work with some of the most acclaimed choreographers such as Arthur Saint Leon, August Bournonville, Geta Constantinescu, Pam Tonowitz, Durante Verzola, Eriberto JimĂ©nez, Jessica Gatinea, Joan Latham, Michel Fokine, Ariel Rose, Marius Petipa and George Balanchine. He joined Ballet Pensacola as a Principal Dancer, under the artistic direction of Darren McIntyre in the 2021-2022 season. During his first season, Juan performed the roles of Jonathan Harker in Dracula, Karl/The Nutcracker Prince/The Cavalier in The Nutcracker, The Scarecrow and The Cowardly Lion in The Wizard of Oz, Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera, Puck/Oberon in A Midsummer Nightâs Dream & The Fairy Doll Pas de Trois. In addition, he performed in Mr. McIntyres' new innovative creations Odyssey, Lights Will Guide you Home, Liberty Bell, Fleet Week and Vivaldi's The Four Seasons, Winter, Violin Concerto. Juan has been recognized by the American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA) as an artist of extraordinary ability.

Olivia Bevilacqua is ready to start her third season with Ballet Pensacola and we couldn't be happier!
Olivia Bevilacqua previously attended the Graduate Program at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. She received her formal dance training in Rochester, NY, at the Timothy M. Draper Center for Dance Education, where she performed with the Rochester City Ballet. Olivia was a contestant on season 13 of So You Think You Can Dance. At Youth America Grand Prix she was a recipient of the Grand Prix Award along with numerous awards in both classical and contemporary categories. She also received the Legacy award at Universal Ballet Competition. She has had the opportunity to travel to Peru and perform at the International Ballet Festival de Trujillo. Since joining Ballet Pensacola in 2021, Olivia has danced featured roles such as Dew Drop in The Nutcracker, the Wicked Witch in the The Wizard of Oz, Madame Giry in Darren McIntryeâs The Phantom of the Opera, and Hermia in Darren McIntyreâs A Midsummer Nightâs Dream. She was promoted to Leading Artist last season and is looking forward to her 3rd season with Ballet Pensacola.

Returning to the Ballet Pensacola studios and stage for her second season is Audrey King!
Audrey King began her classical training at Ballet Academy of Texas under the direction of Lisa Slagle, Allan Kinzie and Thom Clower. While at BAT, she danced the title role of Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty (coached by Anna-Marie Holmes), Balanchineâs Four Temperaments and Sugar Plum Fairy (partnered by Patrick Frenette of American Ballet Theatre) in The Nutcracker. She competed in Youth America Grand
Prix for many years and was awarded Top 12 for her Classical variations on numerous occasions. In 2019, Audrey moved to Denver to train in the Pre-Professional Division at Colorado Ballet and had the opportunity to perform corps roles with the main company. Following her time at Colorado Ballet, she trained with George Birdaze and Ashley Ellis in Dallas and performed Gamzatti in the full-length La Bayadere. This past season was Audreyâs first with Ballet Pensacola and she had the opportunity to perform the Dewdrop in The Nutcracker and Purity Soloist in Darren McIntyreâs Odyssey among others. She was promoted to Leading Artist at the end of last season and is looking forward to her second season with Ballet Pensacola!

Back for another season with Ballet Pensacola is Michel Martinez!
Michel Dominic Cervantes Martinez is a Mexican dancer who studied ballet professionally at the Academia de la Danza Mexicana del Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes. After he graduated he participated with the National Dance Company of Mexico in productions such as The Nutcracker and Swan Lake. Then after he joined Ballet of Jalisco, where he danced in various ballets like Romeo and Juliet, The Nutcracker, Swan lake, Our Lady of Paris, The flutist of Hamelin, and Don Quixote, this last show that was awarded with the Lunas del Auditorio prize. When he finished his period in Jalisco he returned to Mexico City where he danced with companies such as ArdentĂa, Ballet y Circo and Convexus Contemporary Ballet prior to going to IBStage Galas in Barcelona to dance in the gala of the stars at the Liceu Theater. Back in Mexico he starred as The Prince in the staging of Cinderella with the Ballet de la Ciudad de MĂ©xico. That same year in 2019 he performed the role of the Cavalier of the Sugar Plum Fairy with the Orquesta FilarmĂłnica de Toluca. In 2021 he was pointed to receive a scholarship given by Elisa Carrillo to be a member of the CompañĂa de Danza del Estado de MĂ©xico where he danced the Pas de Trois from Paquita, Saeta and where he reached different expressions of dance presenting contemporary ballets. In 2022 he joined the CompañĂa Capitalina de Danza as principal dancer where he danced as the Beast in The Beauty and the Beast and Pinocchio The Ballet. In the dance festival DanzatlĂĄn, he participated in the iconic piece Bolero by Maurice Bejart alongside Elisa Carrillo. That same year he was invited by the Orquesta FilarmĂłnica de Toluca to perform the soloist part of the Arabian Dance, The Flowers Waltz and The Snowflakes scene from The Nutcracker. In 2023 he came to the United States of America to join Ballet Pensacola in which he participated in the Military Gala and the premier of A Midsummer's Night Dream as Bottom and Demetrius and had the opportunity to perform with Pensacola Opera in Carousel.

Returning to Ballet Pensacola's professional company is Carey Hodovanich!
Carey Hodovanich is from Columbus, Ohio and began dancing with Dublin Dance Center at the age of three. She pursued higher education at the University of Alabama, graduating in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. During her time at the University of Alabama, she performed in works by Qianping Guo, Rita Snyder, and Sarah M. Barry, as well as works staged by James Jordan, Lauren Giordano Whittington, and Mikhail Ilyin. Notable roles include soloist in Todd Bolenderâs fifth movement of Voyager, soloist in Shumannâs Sonatas, and ensemble member in Gus Giordanoâs Sing Sing Sing. Since joining Ballet Pensacola in 2021, Carey has danced featured roles such as Snow Queen and the Arabian Pas de Deux in the Nutcracker, Glinda the Good Witch in The Wizard of Oz, Carlotta in Darren McIntryeâs The Phantom of the Opera, and Hermia in Darren McIntyreâs A Midsummer Nightâs Dream. The 2023-2024 season will be Careyâs third season with the company and she is looking forward to another fantastic season!
