Every person grieves differently! Let’s "Flip the Script" during Children's Grief Awareness Month by honoring the unique ways each young person grieves.
Every child’s experience of loss is personal, shaped by their relationship with the person who passed. Avoid one-size-fits-all responses, and instead, offer support that aligns with their individual story, personality, and needs.
Meaningful support begins with recognizing each young person’s uniqueness and listening to how they wish to be supported.

Thank you Harvesters Credit Union for supporting the granting of wishes for children, adults and veterans through My Wish and Vet’s Wish! What a wonderful event this was!
This Children's Grief Awareness Month alongside NACG National Alliance for Children's Grief, we're "Flipping the Script" by recognizing the physical expressions of grief.
At our last Camp Connect, we embraced movement as a vital way for grieving kids to grow stronger inside and out. Through yoga and dance, we discovered the joy, release, and relaxation these activities bring.
Physical activity helps young grievers cope and connect with their emotions in healthy ways. Learn more about our upcoming grief camps and how they may be of benefit to a grieving child you know by calling our team today at (850) 328-4403.
Good food and great company—true comfort for the soul! Bill, a 97-year-old WWII veteran, used his Vet's Wish to thank the Covenant Care Home Health team for their exceptional care. He invited his 100-year-old friend, Robert, also a WWII veteran, to join them for dinner at his favorite restaurant, the Seaside Grill.
As the sun set, they enjoyed a heartfelt meal, sharing stories and gratitude with the caregivers who had come to celebrate with them. Bill summed it up simply: “Well, that was a great evening!” Everyone left with full hearts, grateful for the time spent together and the memories made.

In "Flipping the Script," this Children's Grief Awareness Month, join us in empowering young people to express their grief on their terms.
Promote Genuine Interactions:
✔️Avoid clichés and fixed ideas about the grieving process.
✔️Encourage responses and questions that allow young people who are grieving to express what they truly feel, not what they think they should feel.
Nonie's Place respects the individuality of grief and provides a safe space for children to open up with our clinically trained and licensed grief therapists. Learn more at NoniesPlace.org.

When Peggy’s mother passed away, she sought a special way to honor her memory. With help from our My Wish team, she found the perfect memorial stone to place in her mother’s beloved garden.
Now, this garden—a place filled with flowers and memories—serves as a peaceful space for Peggy to reflect. The stone stands as a tribute to her mother’s life and legacy, celebrating her nurturing spirit, faith, and love. 💐🧡
Thank you to our Wish Maker Wendy Smith, who graciously wrapped and delivered this gift. Through My Wish, Peggy found a meaningful way to keep her mother’s spirit alive, showing that love knows no bounds, even in the face of loss. Learn more about My Wish at MyWish.org.
