Lisa and Scott Gardner have been throwing things for two decades. The draw for them started when they participated in reenactment competitions in Archery and Knives which consists of throwing the axe, knife, and spear outside in period garb.

They've put their passion to work and have opened five axe throwing ranges across the Midwest for the general public. Dutch Greeters welcomed the Gardners to Pella and Scott showed us some trick shots including cutting the ribbon!

Ironside Axe Club is also a member of the World Axe Throwing League and has 100 - 150 people competing against throwers in over 500 venues across the globe. Throwers earn circuit points and the top 128 throwers advance to the world championship.

The Pella location opened in March and offers beer, seltzer, cider, canned cocktails, and wines, but definitely bring your own food!

Friends and Family of Ironside. We lost a shining star today. Our friend and club manager, Cece Schlechter passed away this morning. Her smile and drive was a massive part of what make our Pella location so special. We were blessed to have her as part of the Ironside family. Cece embodied what we call Axe Fam. She wanted everyone to feel welcome and everyone to have a good time. She was also a fierce competitor and 100% dedicated to throwing. We were planning on being able to cheer her on at worlds this year.
Just this past weekend Cece said she wanted to host a tournament for Saint Patrick's Day Weekend. The proceeds from this tournament will will go to the family. A Go Fund me account is also being set up. Please consider coming to participate in Cece's Shamrock Shenanigans tournament.

You bring the enthusiasm, we can teach you how to throw the axe. On Top of having the Coolest Job around. Ironside Axe Club is like a family.
Duties may include (but not limited to):
* Facilitating groups and parties from setup to tear down.
* Helping with marketing and advertising. Such as adding video or picture content.
* Coaching axe safety and throwing techniques.
* Helping maintain the cleanliness of the facility.
* Facilitating League tournaments.
*Checking Waivers and Cashing groups out at the end of the night.
* Competitive Wages Plus Tips
* Several Positions open.
We are looking for Individuals that are quick thinking and can see a broader picture. We need individuals are that are able to entertain a groups of all types.
