Sweeney Todd has become a bloody, worldwide success since being awarded eight Tony's, (including Best Musical), for its Broadway premiere. Stephen Sondheim's and Hugh Wheeler's tasty, thrilling, theatrical treat has simultaneously shocked, awed and delighted audiences across the world.

The road to revenge leads Todd to Mrs. Lovett, a resourceful proprietress of a failing pie shop, above which, he opens a new barber practice. Mrs. Lovett's luck sharply shifts when Todd's thirst for blood inspires the integration of an ingredient into her meat pies that has the people of London lining up... and the carnage has only just begun!
Featuring some of the most chilling music ever written for the stage, this masterpiece is sure both to thrill and delight audiences.

On Saturday, October 3rd, 11:30 a.m. - noon ET, join the Poetry Center at PCCC for a virtual reading by Richard Blanco, who was selected by President Obama as the fifth inaugural poet in U.S. history. Blanco is the youngest poet, first Latino, immigrant, and only openly gay person to serve in such a role. Born in Madrid to Cuban exile parents and raised in Miami, the negotiation of cultural identity characterizes his four poetry collections, including "City of a Hundred Fires," which received the Agnes Starrett Poetry Prize from the University of Pittsburgh Press. His latest book of poems, "How to Love a Country," both interrogates the American narrative, past and present, and celebrates the still unkept promise of its ideals.

About PCCHC
The Passaic County Cultural & Heritage Council at Passaic County Community College was established in 1980 by Maria Mazziotti Gillan, its executive director. I is the officially designated county arts, cultural and heritage agency, granting state funds annually to approximately 40 Passaic County organizations.
Through its local arts and history programming, the PCCHC strives to reflect the diversity and preserve the ethnic traditions and cultures of its communities. Often, events reach beyond local residents, however, drawing an audience from surrounding counties. The Passaic County Cultural & Heritage Council (PCCHC) at Passaic County Community College (PCCC) is responsible for encouraging arts development in all areas of Passaic County, for presenting arts programs, providing technical assistance, and for awarding grants for arts and cultural programs to organizations throughout the county.
In addition to building community awareness, appreciation and enjoyment of the arts, PCCHC strives to reflect the diversity and preserve the ethnic traditions and cultures within our community. To achieve this goal, PCCHC offers a variety of programs and services and collaborations.
PCCHC received a Citation of Excellence from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts for excellence in artistic quality, programming and public service in the arts. State Arts Council leadership held an awards reception on January 25 in Trenton to recognize the importance of the work of PCCHC. This award, the State Arts Council’s most prestigious mark of distinction, is designated based on grant application review and conferred upon PCCHC for the duration of the grant period for which funding is received.
The PCCHC, established in 1980, is located in the historic and elegantly restored Hamilton Club Building of Passaic County Community College in Paterson. The building, a former gentlemen's club at 32 Church Street, was established in 1890 by Garret Hobart, a Paterson lawyer and later the 24th Vice President of the United States, and other prominent citizens of Paterson.
The PCCHC strives to maintain a barrier-free facility including complete access for patrons using wheelchairs, large print programs, sign-interpreted performances, FM listening systems and "at select performances" open-captioning.
