Today is a New Day!!

A great reminder from ...The art of helping is knowing what to give at the moment...Sometimes we just need someone to sit with us in silence.

We are inspired by the teaching of .abuja.... Our mindset determines our next level... What does your mindset support...

The present is a gift đ the past is our lesson and the future is our result. To get to your result you must be in the present and go through process.
"Command your day"

When your client think you are as dope as ...

One second, one minute, one hour, one day at a time...

A shehero is one who knows when to take off her cape for selfcare...She serve herself and others with unconditional love, kindness and joy. She knows when to say "YES" and not afraid to say "HELL NO". So to my sheheroes keep being fearless and unshakeable....

Even when you don't fully understand just trust in the process...

Things often times don't work out the way we want it, and as a result of that we can get discourage. But I have come to learn that, the beauty of life is stepping out in faith regardless of who shows up... â¤ī¸

During the month of February, we recognize and celebrate Black History Month. As we honor the contributions African Americans have made throughout history (and their achievements in the present), it is essential that we acknowledge and celebrate their achievements. While mental health conditions do not discriminate in terms of race or background, these factors could make access to mental health treatment more difficult. The stigma surrounding mental health conditions and the lack of access to health care are barriers for anyone with the condition. However, experts argue that there is a significant disparity when it comes to minorities, particularly African Americans. This can result in people not receiving the proper support to get better.
As we celebrate black history, let's also educate, encourage, and empower our children and how to sustain, maintain and protect their mental health.

In recognizing the humanity of our fellow beings, we pay ourselves the highest tribute.â
âThurgood Marshall, first African American U.S. Supreme Court member

According to The root of mental health stigma among Black people can be traced back to slavery. At that time it was commonly thought that slaves were not sophisticated enough to develop depression, anxiety, or other mental health disorders.
âFrom those historic misconceptions, we learned to ignore mental illness or call it other terms, like âstressâ and âbeing tired,ââ
As we celebrate this month let's all take steps to be an ally for those struggling with mental illness.
We can all work to:
Bring awareness to the use of stigmatizing language around mental illness
Educate family, friends, and colleagues about the unique challenges of mental illness within the Black community
Become aware of our own attitudes and beliefs toward the Black community to reduce implicit bias and negative assumptions

Parenting can be hard, we all do parenting the best we know how. According to "To parent effectively, itâs not enough to simply avoid the obvious dangers like abuse, neglect, or overindulgence. Indeed, The National Academy of Sciences delineates four major responsibilities for parents: maintaining children's health and safety, promoting their emotional well-being, instilling social skills, and preparing children intellectually.

Our GPS Clubhouse Program was developed to provide school-aged, juvenile children and teens with a caring, stimulating, and encouraging environment that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. Throughout our GPS program, we strive to be different and unique in how we operate, conduct an assessment of young children and teens, and educate and encourage them to be independent learners. We provide developmentally appropriate activities that allow children to thrive in our environment by utilizing current research in child development.

Stephen R Covey states âIn these challenging times, we see rapid change all around usâĻ.â Changes can be bad or good but in the end it is all about how we handle them. We can choose to use these habit to help create a positive environment for change or we can do the opposite and be what he considers an â Ineffective personâ.
What type of person will you choose to be the next time you are faced with obstacles?

January 11- 21st is Happy No Name-Calling and encourage you to use kind words to yourself and others...
noted that "name-calling can have serious consequences on mental health. In fact, many researchers feel it is one of the most damaging forms of bullying. For instance, some victims become so depressed from the name-calling that they begin to feel worthless, helpless, and out of control. Some victims may even contemplate su***de."
