Look at how happy the kids in our Kindergarten Bridge program are!! Kindergarten Bridge is a 3-day program that helps kids become comfortable and familiar with a big school before the first day.
Twenty kindergarten students and three rising first graders joined us to get familiar with their surroundings! The students toured the school, read, played, had circle time, and learned community guidelines. At the end of the program, all students received a backpack full of supplies and a toy.
Programs like these are important because they provide an emotional safety net for children. Getting familiar with new surroundings and rules will help lessen stress levels on the first day of school. The Kindergarten Bridge Program helps both children and parents start the school year off right.

Pictured here is Allesandra, who is completing her Girl School Gold Award at Oasis. She collected book donations and held book fairs for the children this summer at Carl's Kids Camp. Each child got to pick several books as part of the Oasis Literacy Monday program. Thank you to Allesandra for sharing the gift of reading with our children! πβ€π
