Kennedy Marching Band practices at Hinchliffe Stadium in preparation for their halftime performance at the JFK Knights vs. Eastside High School Ghost Thanksgiving Day game on November 23. NJCDC Celebrates 29 Years of Transforming Lives NJCDC recently held our 29th Anniversary Gala, raising $250,000 to support our programs and services

New Jersey Community Development Corporation's Paterson Youth Council (PYC) members spent an inspiring day at (BD) for the corporation's Career Awareness Day! 🚀 This engaging job shadowing field trip gave our students an opportunity to explore careers in the dynamic world of the medical technology industry. Thank you BD! 🌐👩‍⚕️

The next meeting is tomorrow, November 15th at 6:30 pm via Zoom!

On November 10, Our AmeriCorps Cohort partnered with Habitat for Humanity on a Build Day. They assisted with installation, painting and landscaping. Exciting times ahead as the family prepares to move into their new home soon! "

Last night, the AmeriCorps members took their 30th-year anniversary oath with Senator Nellie Pou, providing the opportunity to reflect on all the good works Americorps volunteers have accomplished throughout its storied history.

From mentoring and tutoring in schools to cleaning up parks, AmeriCorps has been a force for positive change in Paterson. The ceremony was a powerful reminder of the dedication and impact that volunteers bring to our beautiful city.

Here's to 30 years of service, to 30 years of building strong connections within our community, and to 30 more years to come!

In October, we came together outside the Spruce Street elementary school to celebrate 15 years of The Community Charter School of Paterson's success. As we reflect on the achievements of the past 15 years, we eagerly anticipate what the future holds for CCSP! 🎉📚

🍁 October was a month full of excitement for NJCDC! 🎉 Our program participants engaged in the JFK High School Marching Band, created beautiful gardens, celebrated at the Great Falls Neighborhood Block Party. 🎈Throughout the month, we also honored Hispanic Heritage Month and enjoyed a fun Halloween. Last month, New Jersey Community Development Corporation hosted its 9th annual Great Falls Neighborhood Block Party. It was a fantastic celebration of our vibrant community, and we were thrilled to see over 1,000 residents join us for this free event. The day was packed with carnival games, inflatables, raffle prizes, community organizations, and much more! 🎉🎈

Yesterday, we were absolutely thrilled to welcome the incredible Johnson & Johnson Technology Team to the heart of our community at the Great Falls Youth Center! 🌟

Johnson & Johnson's tech team presented an exciting career panel that unveiled a world of possibilities within their dynamic organization. They shared insights on how YOU can carve your path in this exciting tech-driven world. 🌐

Empowering Paterson citizens with access to these amazing opportunities is a mission close to our hearts, and we couldn't be prouder to have been a part of this inspiring event! 💪🙌

🌟 Exciting News! 🏀🚴‍♀️

The Lou Costello Pool area transformation plan just got a HUGE boost from the Passaic County Commissioners, thanks to the Open Space Award! With these much-needed funds, we're adding a splash pad, a new basketball court, and bike paths to meet the recreational needs of our youth and rejuvenate these public spaces.

The City's Consolidated Plan emphasizes the importance of providing more recreational activities for Paterson children and youth. Eddie Gonzalez, our Director of Community Outreach, and Paterson Mayor Andre Sayegh shared the news at the event.
