Jeremiah is the Leader of the Pack.
Each week, Wolfpack players/coaches recognize one player who demonstrates effort, perseverance, personal growth, and/or a positive impact on their teammates.
As the season went on we allowed the previous week’s winner to have a greater voice on the selection than the coaches. Our pack believes in developing players so they can reach their full potential on and off the court, and part of the journey is trusting/supporting their decision making.
Why Jeremiah was chosen:
🏀 Has given 100% since he joined the Pack
🏀 Shares the basketball
🏀 Is a positive teammate

A Wolfpack Birthday Tradition 🎂

The beauty of sports is it can be leveraged to help pass on lessons from generation to generation.
The fact is, not all players will suit up at the varsity, collegiate, or professional levels. So when the team plays their final game together, and the scoreboard shuts off for the last time that season. What remains are values and lessons that transcend sports.
It’s important to us as the youth level, to use basketball to help as many kids as we can. So regardless of their ability when they come in to the Pack, they can learn lessons and values that will help them for life.
We learned about the concept of “Mind Candy” from Coach Showalter
The idea is simple:
share thoughts, values, lessons, and conversations that can motivate, reinforce culture, uplift players, and spark reflection.
The second area of focus during spring practices was driving, kicking and swinging the ball. We wanted all the boys to be a threat, look to win close outs, and move the ball quickly to keep the defense scrambling. Looking outside of the score lines and championships at every age is beneficial for long term development.
