Real change doesn't start at crisis. It starts way before.

When you support Un/Do Mindset, you're helping build:

Curriculum people can actually use.
Tools for everyday emotional overwhelm.
Access for those who can't wait until everything falls apart.

This work is quiet.
But it matters.

What kind of support do you wish had existed earlier in your life?

🧠 Bring Un/Do Mindset to your Organization

Most trainings teach people what to do.
Few teach people how to understand themselves while doing it.

Un/Do Mindset brings practical conversations to teams, schools, and organizations — on emotions, reactions, stress, and building environments where people can actually function.

Not a motivational talk.
Something more useful.

What does your team most need a real conversation about right now?

🔍 Why We react the way we do

There's usually something underneath —
stress, a pattern, a story your brain is telling you,
a nervous system just trying to protect you.

When we only focus on the reaction,
we miss what's actually driving it.

Understanding why you react
is where real change begins.

What's one reaction you've had lately that surprised you?

A School Shooting Ended My Teaching Career.

Mental Health Gave Me a New One.

I'm Erin Harris. This is my story - and the story of how Un/Do Mindset began.

I taught for 15 years - K through 8. Nine different schools across the DC and Denver metro areas. I loved every single second of it.

And then a student brought a gun to school. A student from a rival school gang, and while the kids were sitting outside eating lunch, it became a drive-by.

No fatalities, but I want to be honest with you about something: "no fatalities" doesn't mean "no damage." I checked myself into a mental health facility. Twice.

And those two experiences changed my entire life.

Inside those facilities, I learned something that I genuinely believe every single human being on this planet deserves to know: how your brain actually processes trauma, and what happens when it doesn't.

I often come back to this metaphor: imagine your brain is a filing cabinet.

When trauma happens and you have the right tools, you can file that experience away properly. Label it, close the drawer, move forward.

But when trauma happens without those tools? That paper gets shoved in crumpled. The edges get bent. It sits there, unprocessed, pulling at everything else in the cabinet.

I spent years as an adult trying to pull out old, crumpled papers, smooth the edges, tape the rips, and finally file them correctly. It works, but it's exhausting. And it's late.

What if we could give kids those filing skills before trauma hits?

The privilege I didn't know I had

Here's what it took for me to access those life-changing resources: I had to be an adult in crisis. I had to have insurance. And I had to have $1,600 in cash.

That's not the reality for most people on this planet. Not even close.

And when I came home from those facilities and started telling my story, I heard something I didn't expect.

ER doctors. EMTs. Firefighters.

Were you ever actually taught how to manage your emotions growing up?

Not:
“Calm down.”
“Stop crying.”
“You’re fine.”

Actually taught.
The way you were taught to read.
Or multiply.
Or drive a car.

Yes or no?

Here’s what we’ve learned:
Most people answer no.

And that’s not a personal failure.
It’s a gap in what we were given.

We’ve heard the same story from teachers, first responders, parents, and kids across 13 countries:
People doing their best with emotional tools nobody ever taught them how to use.

That’s exactly why Un/Do Mindset exists.

We’re building free, anonymous, self-paced emotional skills training for anyone with an internet connection.

No copay.
No waitlist.
No judgment.
No employer finding out.

We’re not starting from scratch.
We’re finishing what should have been taught in the first place.

Drop a YES or NO in the comments.
We read every single one.

The one lesson most of us were never taught - how to understand what we feel.

When you understand what’s happening inside, everything shifts: your choices, your reactions, your relationships.

That’s where Un/Do Mindset begins.

We’re currently inviting young people under 25 to share their stories, perspectives, and lived experiences for an upcoming book centered around emotional wellness, identity, mindset, healing, relationships, and the everyday realities young people are navigating today.

This project explores topics such as:

• Stress & burnout
• Anger & emotional regulation
• Perfectionism
• Body image
• Shame & guilt
• Self-care & sleep
• Mindfulness
• Communication & active listening
• Love languages & boundaries
• Values & goal setting
• Gratitude & coping strategies
• Triggers & core beliefs
• Thinking patterns & cognitive dissonance
• Self-compassion & forgiveness

You do not need to have everything figured out.
You do not need to sound “perfect.”

We are not looking for polished answers.
We are looking for honest human experiences.

Our hope is to create something meaningful, relatable, and reflective of what younger generations are truly experiencing emotionally, mentally, and socially — in their own words and voices.

If you feel called to share your perspective, we’d love to connect with you.

You can schedule a conversation through the Calendly link near the bottom of our LinkTree:

It's Mental Health Awareness Month and we need to talk about more than RESILIENCE. đź’™

We keep asking people to cope harder.
But what if the system itself is the problem?

Emotional health isn't just personal.
It's the environments we ask humans to survive in every day.

People deserve cultures where they feel safe, seen, and supported.
Not just told to push through.

What would a more human-centered system look like where you work or live?

What if the quietest work made the biggest difference?

Un/Do Mindset builds real tools for real moments — content, spaces, and support that reach people when they need it most.
It's not flashy. But it matters.
