π FOSTER NEEDED FOR BRODY π
Sometimes all a dog needs is a soft place to land.
Meet Brody, a sweet, easygoing 7-year-old boy who will be arriving in Colorado on July 8 and is hoping a foster family will be waiting to welcome him home. π‘πΎ
Brody is the kind of dog who is easy to love. He enjoys people, knows basic commands, and has a playful side balanced by a calm, laid-back personality. Whether it's a walk around the neighborhood or relaxing at your feet after a long day, Brody is happiest simply being part of the family. β€οΈ
πΆ About Brody:
β’ 7 years old
β’ Sweet, affectionate, and playful
β’ Knows basic commands
β’ Good with children over 6
β’ Has done well meeting other dogs
β’ Has not lived with dogs previously
β’ Cat compatibility unknown
π©Ί Brody's Medical Needs:
β’ Takes daily allergy medication
β’ Cherry eye repair will be needed
β’ Expected to be neutered before arriving in Colorado
Like many dogs entering rescue, Brody may need a little time to adjust to a new environment and routine. A patient foster who can offer kindness, structure, and reassurance will help him settle into his new chapter.
The good news? Rocky Mountain Cocker Rescue provides veterinary care, medications, and support. You provide the love. π
π
Arriving July 8
Could you be the person who gives Brody a safe place to rest, heal, and start fresh?
If you can foster Brody, please submit a foster application or email [email protected].
Let's make sure this sweet boy has a welcoming home waiting when he arrives. πΎπ

π THEY MADE IT OUT. NOW THEY NEED YOU. π
Tom and Jerry have survived something no dog should ever have to face.
These two sweet boys were just rescued from a high-kill shelter in New Mexico. While we are incredibly grateful they are safe, their journey isn't over yet.
Right now, Tom and Jerry need a foster home where they can finally rest, decompress, and begin to believe that they are truly safe. π‘β€οΈ
At 5 and 7 years old, these handsome boys have hearts full of love despite everything they've been through. They greet people with wagging tails, enjoy attention, and seem determined to leave their past behind them.
πΎ Sweet, affectionate, people-loving boys
πΎ Appear to be potty trained
πΎ Vaccinated
πΎ Need grooming, dental care, and neuters (provided by RMCR)
πΎ Not suitable for homes with cats
What they need most isn't medical care.
It's kindness.
It's stability.
It's a soft bed instead of a kennel.
It's someone willing to look into their eyes and say, "You're safe now."
Rocky Mountain Cocker Rescue will provide food, veterinary care, and support. We simply need a foster family willing to open their home and hearts.
These boys have already lost so much. Let's not make them wait any longer for comfort and love.
π If you can foster Tom and Jerry, please submit a foster application immediately and email [email protected]
Even a short-term foster could change the rest of their lives.
Please share. Their family may be just one post away. β€οΈπΎ

ππΎ Crossing the Rainbow Bridge: Tyberius πΎπ
Today we honor the life of Tyberius, a very special RMCR alumnus who found his forever home on December 3, 2016.
From the moment he arrived, Tyberius made himself right at home. He quickly showed his family just how smart he was by mastering the doggie door immediately and settling into family life as though he'd always belonged there.
Tyberius loved the simple joys in life β long walks, chasing rabbits and squirrels, and spending time with the people who adored him. He also formed an instant friendship with his cocker sibling, Koco, and together they shared years of companionship, adventures, and love.
His family describes him as a super boy who was loved dearly, and there is no greater tribute than that.
While our hearts ache for those left behind, we are grateful for the wonderful years Tyberius spent surrounded by love, comfort, and the family he deserved.
Run free, sweet Tyberius. Chase all the rabbits you can find, enjoy endless sunny walks, and know that you were deeply loved every single day.
Until we meet again. β€οΈππΎ

π ALL OF HER FRIENDS HAVE FOSTERS... EXCEPT BLUE BELL π
One by one, the puppy mill girls found foster homes.
Hope found a foster.
Ebony found a foster.
Sandy found a foster.
But Blue Bell is still waiting.
And we don't understand why.
π Blue Bell is 6 years old.
π She is gentle.
π She is sweet.
π She wags her tail all day long.
The world may be blurry for Blue Bell. She has very limited sight and may even be blind. Yet somehow, despite everything she has endured, she still greets each day with hope.
Blue Bell spent years surviving. Now she deserves the chance to live.
She needs a patient foster home where she can finally feel safe. A place where she can learn that soft beds are hers to sleep on, that kind hands won't hurt her, and that love doesn't have to be earned.
Will she be scared at first? Yes.
Will she need patience? Absolutely.
But beneath that uncertainty is a happy little soul just waiting for someone to give her a chance.
π‘ Blue Bell needs:
πΎ A securely fenced yard
πΎ A calm home
πΎ A patient foster willing to move at her pace
πΎ Another friendly dog would be a wonderful bonus
The rescue provides food, veterinary care, medications, and support. You provide the love.
Please don't let Blue Bell be the one left behind.
π© Apply to foster today or message us for more information.
Let's find this sweet girl the safe landing spot she deserves. π

πΎ Meet the Mill Girls Arriving Today! πΎ
After spending the night in Kansas, these sweet girls are on their way to Colorado today, where a new life filled with love, comfort, and kindness awaits them. β€οΈ
π Sweet Blue Bell
Blue Bell is still searching for a foster home. We do have a temporary place lined up for her, but she would love a foster family of her own as she begins to navigate a world that is completely new to her.
Blue Bell experiences life primarily through smells and sounds, and sheβs looking for a patient, loving home where she can continue to gain confidence at her own pace. Beneath it all is a gentle little love bug who deserves the chance to discover how wonderful life can be.
If you know someone who might be a good fit for Blue Bell, please encourage them to apply to foster or reach out to us directly. She is so deserving of a fresh start. π
π€ Ebony
Donβt let her tiny size fool you! Ebony is small enough to find the tiniest hiding spots, so youβll want to keep an eye on her. Once she feels comfortable, though, sheβs incredibly lovable and sweet. This little girl is already stealing hearts. β€οΈβ€οΈ
π Hope
Hope is a super sweet girl who loves exploring outside, being held, and cuddling. She can be a little shy when things move over her head, but sheβs already showing us what a gentle and loving soul she is. Hope doesnβt mind wearing a harness, enjoys her meals, and happily drinks from a bowl. Sheβs soaking up all the new experiences life has to offer and is ready to learn what it means to be someoneβs beloved companion. π
We canβt wait for these girls to begin their new lives and for all of you to follow along on their journey. Thank you to everyone helping us give former breeder dogs the second chance they deserve. πΎβ¨

πβ€οΈ Theyβre Coming Home Today! β€οΈπ
Our President, Audra, and long-time RMCR volunteer, Brian, are in Kansas this morning preparing to bring four puppy mill survivors to Colorado, where their foster families are anxiously waiting to meet them.
Today they will be welcoming:
πΎ Blue Belle
πΎ Ebony
πΎ Hope
πΎ Veronica
These sweet girls spent last night in Kansas with caring volunteers who gave them a safe place to rest before beginning the next chapter of their journey.
And we have a little extra good news to share! π Blue Belle and Hope have already enjoyed a much-deserved spa day and are getting their first taste of the love, kindness, and pampering they deserve. For dogs who have spent their lives producing puppies, even simple comforts can be life-changing.
Severe thunderstorms and tornadoes are forecasted across parts of Kansas this morning, so Audra and Brian will be keeping a close eye on the weather and adjusting their travel plans as needed to ensure everyone stays safe.
Please keep Audra, Brian, and these four deserving girls in your thoughts as they travel toward freedom, safety, and the loving foster homes that will help them learn what it means to simply be a dog. β€οΈ
Stay tuned throughout the day for photos and updates from the road!

β€οΈ FLIRT UPDATE: SHE DID IT! β€οΈ
Our brave little Flirt is HOME. πΎ
Just days ago, this precious 4-month-old puppy underwent a major open-chest surgery to repair the congenital heart defect that threatened her future.
Today, we're thrilled to share that Flirt came through surgery beautifully.
Her procedure was successful, there were no complications, and her veterinary team reports that her heart is doing well. β€οΈ
Following surgery, Flirt spent the night in ICU with a chest tube in place to monitor for fluid buildup and leakage. Everything looked great, the tube was removed the next morning, and she was cleared to head home to continue her recovery.
Of course, nobody has explained to Flirt that she is supposed to be taking it easy. π
This little girl already thinks she should be running, playing, and living life at full speed. Unfortunately for her, the doctor's orders are very different:
π Cuddle with her favorite lamb
π©Ί Rest and heal
πΆ Short leash walks only
β No running
β No jumping
β No zoomies
For the next two weeks, she'll be on strict activity restriction while her body heals from the large incision required to reach her heart. In 10β14 days, her stitches will come out, and in about 30 days she'll return for a follow-up echocardiogram with her cardiologist.
Meanwhile, Flirt is adjusting to life in her recovery suit... although she has not yet mastered the art of drinking water without dunking her hood into the bowl. π
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated, shared her story, cheered her on, and helped make this life-saving surgery possible. Because of your generosity, this sweet puppy now has the chance to grow up, play, love, and live the life every dog deserves.
Please continue sending healing thoughts to our little heart warrior as she begins the next chapter of her journey. π
Way to go, Flirt. We are so proud of you.

π TODAY, A TINY PUPPY IS FIGHTING FOR HER FUTURE π
At just 4 months old and only 9 pounds, Flirt should be spending her days chasing toys, making new friends, and discovering the world.
Instead, today she is undergoing life-saving heart surgery.
Flirt came to Rocky Mountain Cocker Rescue from a breeder release facility carrying a hidden burden she never deserved.
She was born with a serious congenital heart defect called Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA). A blood vessel near her heart that should have closed shortly after birth never did.
Without surgery, Flirt's tiny heart would eventually fail.
Today, a veterinary cardiologist will perform a delicate procedure that requires entering her chest between her ribs and working near major blood vessels connected to her heart. The surgery carries risks, but it also gives Flirt something every puppy deserves:
β€οΈ A chance at a normal life.
A chance to run.
A chance to play.
A chance to grow old.
A chance to be someone's beloved family member.
The cost of Flirt's surgery and hospitalization is expected to be approximately $10,000.
We said "yes" to Flirt because rescue isn't just about saving the easy ones. It's about stepping forward when a dog needs help the most.
Today, we are asking for your help.
Please keep this precious little girl in your thoughts as she heads into surgery.
And if you are able, please consider making a donation toward her medical care. Every gift, no matter the size, helps give Flirt the future she deserves.
πΎ To donate, visit Flirt's page:
https://rockymountaincockerrescue.org/dog/flirt/
Scroll to the bottom of her profile and click the donation button.
Today, Flirt is relying on a team of veterinarians, supporters, fosters, volunteers, and friends who believe her life is worth fighting for.
We certainly do.
Please send your love, prayers, positive thoughts, and healing wishes to our brave little girl today. ππΆ

ππΎ FOUR HAPPY TAILS TO CELEBRATE! πΎπ
Some days in rescue are extra specialβand today is definitely one of them! Please join us in celebrating four wonderful dogs who have officially found their forever homes. β€οΈ
π‘ Peony has been adopted by her foster mom, Shirley!
There is something incredibly heartwarming about a foster home becoming a forever home. Shirley opened her heart to Peony, and before long, it became clear they belonged together. We couldn't be happier for this sweet girl as she begins the next chapter of her life surrounded by the love she deserves.
π‘ Vice (Benji) has been adopted by Anna and Cam!
Vice's journey is a beautiful reminder that healing takes time. Like many puppy mill survivors, he struggled with confidence and trust, but Anna and Cam never gave up on him. Through patience, understanding, and unconditional love, they helped him become the dog he was always meant to be. We are so grateful they saw the incredible boy hiding beneath the fear.
π‘ Varick (Yeti) has been adopted by Santana and family!
We've loved watching this adorable little guy blossom throughout his foster journey. From the updates and photos to hearing how much his furry siblings adore him, it's been clear that Varick found exactly where he belongs. We couldn't be more excited for this sweet boy and his wonderful family.
π‘ Ivan has been adopted by Sachielle, Von, and Cookie!
This handsome boy has officially found his forever family, and we couldn't be happier. Ivan's future is filled with love, companionship, and the security every rescue dog deserves. We are thrilled that he has found a family ready to give him the happy life he's been waiting for.
To all of our adoptersβthank you for opening your homes, your hearts, and your lives to these deserving dogs. And to Peony, Vice, Varick, and Ivan: may your days be filled with belly rubs, cozy beds, endless treats, and all the love in the world. ππΎ
Please help us congratulate these amazing families on their newest official family members! πβ€οΈ
