Nothing quite like a good ol’ scarf joint to tie this 40ft long glue-lam together for the ridge beam on this 24x36 cabin. Built strong and made to last!

There’s just something about seeing a log cabin finally framed in that makes all the hard work worth it.
Not bad for two guys!
This 24’x40’ cabin with 6” logs is almost ready for the next phase, and it’s easy to picture the finished product now. Grateful for good customers, good weather, and the opportunity to keep building in Alaska.

Gearing up for round two.
Logs are officially on site for our second log cabin build — this one being a 24x36 with a 8x10 arctic entry and another shotgun-style front porch with a dormer above it. We’ll also be adding gable windows to open up the view out toward the river.
Excited to get this one rolling and bring another custom cabin to life here in Talkeetna, Alaska. Stay tuned as we move through the build.

“Like Father, Like Son.”
Before I started my business here in Alaska, I worked alongside my father for many years. Growing up running around his job sites to being his right hand man is quite the story itself, but we’ll save that for another day. This porch is one of many projects where I learned what real craftsmanship means and I couldn’t be anymore thankful for the parents I have. My mother owning and operating an Antique furniture repair business from home taught me even more!
Every cut, joint, and finish I do today comes from the lessons I learned working beside him and watching my mother. They taught me that carpentry and woodworking isn’t just about building and assembling — it’s about pride, patience, and doing the job right every time.
Now, every project I take on here in Alaska carries a piece of those Vermont roots — a reminder of where it all started, and who showed me the way. ❤️🔨

Blessed to have projects like this come my way so early on in my journey here in Alaska. My customers have been nothing short of amazing. From the gratitude, signs of appreciation, thoughtful words and the hospitality from everyone, it has made my startup year of business and the first year of living in Alaska the best anybody could ask for.
Pictured is a Zero clearance fireplace installed by North Country Stoves that allows combustible material to be zero clearance bottom and sides and 12” from the top. Framing, finishing, crown molding, oak wrap around mantle faux beam, and built in entertainment cabinet(waiting on stone top) built by yours truly.
Though I prefer these custom projects pictured, I have tackled rot repair jobs this summer, house renovation, residential handicap elevator, a local salon expansion project, and much more on the books. It’s been a wild ride so far!
Thank you all so much for supporting me, my business and my craft. It means the world to have such a strong community of great people to be around.
