Went to Queens Nissan dealership to look at the new 2021 Altima. I sit down with the young sales guy and ask him to give me numbers on the price of the car ready to negotiate. He asks if I was going to buy the car today because there is a "black Friday" sale. I told him I don't know if I am ready until I have some numbers. He said he won't give me any numbers because I am not ready to buy today. I could not stop laughing. I told him that i I just won the lottery for $5 million dollars and if had given me some numbers I would have bought two cars. I told him a good salesperson doesn't let a customer walk out the door. You should have seen the look on his face.

GREAT experience. Mr. Disla had us in and out. We didn’t spend hours waiting on a car. As soon as I told him the car I wanted he was able to make the deal POSSIBLE & COMFORTABLY for my pockets 😊

*THIS IS NOT ABOUT NISSAN OF QUEENS*

I am a “valued” customer of Central Avenue Nissan for the last 3 years. I recently turned in my 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport 6 months early. I was blatantly lied to and signed a new lease under, what I now know to be, false pretenses. I urge you to think twice about dealing with the shady business tactics of this dealership. Upon visiting the Better Business Bureau site to file my complaint, I also realized that this dealership is not accredited and has several complaints filed against it as recent as January 2020.

I was told verbally and “elbow shook” on an agreement; if I put $3000 down they would take care of my extra miles on my old lease. Their slogan is “You Will Be Satisfied”.

I had a lease with Central Avenue Nissan that was ending in February, and knew I was over my miles. I went into Nissan to discuss me being over my miles and possibly getting a new lease early. August 2019 was the first time I went in to discuss this. I went back in there about five more times from then until August 7th 2020.

Each time I went in to discuss my old lease and a possible new lease with the salesman, Juan Estevez, who sold me my original lease. Each time it was discussed that I would either put money down upfront on a new lease or pay for my miles when the lease was over; but not both. Each time we couldn’t come to an agreement it was because I had too many payments left on my original lease.

I was called in by Juan in March during early Covid to come speak about a new lease and it was established that I still had too many payments on my old lease to reach a deal in my price range. He told me to come back a few months later in May when I had less payments and there were different promotions. He said that I still had too many payments, but as far as the miles that Nissan will usually waive the fees if you return to Nissan with a new lease. He told me that he couldn’t say for sure until I was ready to sign a new lease.

I went back in July with two friends to see what my options were with less payments on my original lease. It was at that time that the deal was presented to me that was just above my price range. They wanted to give me $350 a month with $3000 down and no fees for extra miles. I wanted 330 a month which was $20 extra and $720 extra in total after 36 payments. I was told to come back in August when I had one less payment and discuss this same deal. During this visit the sales manager Danny Marji was present and verbally assured me that they would honor the same deal if I returned next month.

So I did just that and returned on August 7th with one less payment. I ended up signing a new lease for a 2020 Nissan rogue sport under the explicit verbal pretense that it would be the $330 per month with $3000 down and no fees for extra miles.

I received a letter from Nissan in early September stating that I was being charged for all of my extra miles totaled at over $2100. I immediately called Nissan and they told me that if the dealership made an agreement with me I would have to call them. I spoke to Juan and he told me that he would call nissan, work it out and let me know when it’s resolved.

For two weeks I communicated with him back-and-forth about any updates to this situation. Not once over the phone or text did he say that I originally agreed to pay for the extra miles. On 9/22/20 Juan texted me saying that he was able to knock off $500 and then I would get a new quote from Nissan which would be for about $1600. I explained to him that this was still unacceptable because it was not what we discussed and he put me in touch with his sales manager Danny Marji.

Mr. Marji told me that I had been in there five times prior, and they had agreed that they would take care of my miles if I put the money down upfront. However he insisted that on the sixth time 8/7/2020, I had agreed to pay for both the miles and the down payment. I told him that this is absolutely not what happened or what was discussed. He assured me that the paperwork I signed would prove such a preposterous claim. At which point I told him that any paperwork he was referring to was not what was discussed with me prior to signing the lease. Then I told him that I believe I signed the paperwork under the false pretense of them promising to “eat my miles”. Again he insisted that he remembers and I was not telling the truth. He also said “now I am afraid to breathe into the phone because you will claim false pretenses.” I explained to him that I thought this was very nasty to say to returning “valued Nissan for life customer.” He told me that he was there until 8 o’clock and would be happy to sit down and show me the paperwork.

I was even told by Juan Estevez with Danny Marji present on 8/7/20 that I was getting the best possible deal on this car “especially considering that I was over my miles”. This is just one more explicit reason why I was led to believe that the extra miles were taken care of because I was putting more money down upfront on the new lease. Why would they tell me that I was getting the best lease possible “because of my extra miles” if I had agreed to pay the extra miles later? This is totally contradictory. If I had agreed to pay for the extra miles later(which I didn’t), logically they would have nothing to do with the deal that I was getting on the new lease.

So I did go to Central Avenue nissan at approximately 7:30 PM on 9/22/20 and brought my father with me so he could hear exactly what they were claiming. When meeting with Danny, he showed me this paperwork which was misleading and definitely not explained to me properly when signing it. It said “all returning leasees must sign”, and then listed the remaining payments and any extra miles that I had on my old lease. The extra payments were correct and the extra miles said “0” miles extra and “0” in amount owed. I explain to him that during signing, I was led to believe that this meant the dealer was taking care of my extra miles and I wouldn’t owe anything.

Again he told me that I was wrong and that now he can’t speak for the deal because Juan Estevez did 99% of the legwork. This was very different from on the phone when he said he very vividly remembered the deal that he put together for me. So I asked him if he was blaming Juan for not informing me about paying for any extra miles. At which point he was rude again and told me that I am the one to blame. I then asked him to clarify whether he was calling me stupid or a liar. At which point he threatened to walk away from the table.

Next, I asked when I could speak to him, the owner, and Juan Estevez at the same time so all of us would be on the same page. He then threatened to call the police on me for trespassing at the same dealership where I leased my car from. He also became aggressive, got within my personal space, and told me to “get the hell out of his dealership.” At which point I backed up asked him to stay 6 feet apart from me and left.

Once again...NIssan of Queens proved to be unbelievably professional and courteous. They made me feel as though I was part of their family. They were attentive, and took the time and initiative to address every question and concern I had. There was no pressure or judgement. I've already recommended Nissan of Queens to several coworkers.

I came into the dealership expecting the worse. From the minute I walked in Dorian reassured me that he would be straight forward and honest. I never expected him to keep his word cause he was a salesperson. I was greeted from start to finish with positive energy. From speaking to Genesis on the phone to Dorian to Mr. Pollack. I have never had an experience at a dealership that was so amazing. I have yet to stop talking about my experience and have recommended multiple people. They make you feel special even with the alarms going off when someone purchases a vehicle. I wish all dealerships was like them. I am beyond amazed.
