Regional Franchise Director James McFarland volunteered at the second annual Haircuts for the City event, put on by Brooks Behavioral Health Services in Frederick, MD. They provided haircuts, food, clothing, and more for those in need. In total, they gave over 200 free haircuts! James helped by taking photos of the event and shooting family portraits.

Let’s take a look at our Wireless Zone Gives spotlight employee Nicholas C. Nicholas had 2 grants accepted in his Milford, Delaware community where he grew up, reaching a total of $7,500! He is just as passionate about giving his time to nonprofits in his community as writing grants. The organization that benefited from the grants are as follows:

Paige’s Kindness Project in Milford, DE

When asked why this organization is important to you, Nicholas’s response was, “Paige is a wonderful person who is incredibly motivated to “Do Good” in her community. She doesn’t let any of her medical challenges that she faces hold her back, and that is a trait that I find highly admirable. The great thing about Paige’s Kindness Project is that they are so heavily involved with multiple aspects of our community.

Everything from:
1. Helping our local children in need by sourcing clothing donations.
2. Using some of our funding to help our local police station with gift cards
3. Holiday Toy Drive
4. Funding for our local special needs community
5. Community clean up operation
Working with Paige and her Kindness Project has allowed us to give back to our community in a multitude of ways, and that’s probably my favorite aspect of working with them.”

When asked why some of these organizations are important to you, Gary’s response was, ” When I volunteer at the food shelf, I can share a smile and help someone feel better than before they walked through the door. It is essential to me to leave a positive impression on my interactions and help wherever I can. The food shelf is made up primarily of seniors and volunteers that have some free time, so I take the opportunity when I can to do the same, volunteer. Working for Round Room has given us the opportunity and, more importantly, encouraged us to get involved locally. I think that is essential to employees feeling that they matter for more than just getting a job done.”
