Devon
This collection celebrates the look of authentic, aged, reclaimed wood. It was inspired by Eurpoean country antiques. Each profile includes a veneer with random patterning and slight imperfections in the detailing that provide a sense of instant history.
Harlow
This collection refelcts the elegant, polished look of Modernisim and Art Deco, popularized in the Golden Age of Hollywood Glamour. The mirrored finish and clean geometric shapes are like a reinvention of 1930's design trends. You may be thinking, what can you put in a mirrored finish frame? They look great for Modern, Hollywood Glam, Deco, Cycles, Aviation, a Little Princess or a Woman who loves Bling!
Homestead
Larson- Juhl proudly maufactured this collection at our plant here in the U.S. The mouldings feature a furniture finish and the profile are transitional, so they coordinate well with both contemporary or traditional art and decorating styles. The three rich looking finish colors are versatile so this can become your "go to" frames for many needs.
Klavier
The Klavier collection is like fine furniture for the wall, due to its elegant furniture finish. The profiles, colors and lustrous finish are all reminiscent of fine Europena frame styles. The three profiles, including a 4" wide designed to make an impressive statement, provide a lot of design flexibility. These frames convey the historic look of antique frames found in stately homes as well as museums.

Our resident framing expert, Angie, used our Interactive Frame Design tool to create this beautifully framed landscape! She stacked two of our new Foundry mouldings with our Zen fillet to create this wonderful piece! The Zen fillet and light outer edges of the Foundry mouldings really work to enhance the reflection of the water in this artwork.

Your story from the Argus-Press has been treated with Archival Mist. A Library of Congress – approved deacidification spray neutralizing acids inherent in newspaper clippings, paper momentos and other paper born artwork.
After treating the paper it was mounted on a sheet of Cresent Rag Mat, “It is the highest quality conservation mounting and matting board that can be used next to any artwork. Cotton has long flat fibers that intertwine to create a strong, durable board that is naturally free of lignin, acid, alum or harsh chemicals that can be found in wood pulp based products. The beautiful colors of the RagMat boards are created with the finest pigments that are bleed resistant and provide maximum fade resistance. RagMat is a superior matboard and was designed in the late 1920's for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. It has been used by museums, preservationists, artist's, historians and writers for centuries.“ Mounting was done with Expression Fusion 4000 Dry Mounting Adhesive, a thermal-activated 100% acid-free adhesive film.
The lighter colored Mat is from Bainbridge, with Artcare technology proven by the Library of Congress to protect against damaging pollutants, Slows paper and art degradation and Neutralizes acid-by-products. The backing board is from Bainbridge and also has Artcare Technology.
The white outer frame and red filet are from Larson-Juhl’s new line of moulding called: “Brittany” Inspired by the colorful, worn finishes of the homes and resorts found in Brittany, a coastal town in Northwest France, Larson-Juhl’s new collection features authentic, natural layered finishes on a range of profiles. The distressed, chipped paint finishes reveal undercoats of color and raw wood undertones, creating a sense of age and history. The Brittany is also PEFC certified as coming from Sustainable Forest Management. Lastly for added protection the glass is Tru Vue *Conservation Clear®. It is your basic glass with UV protection. This glass is an ideal choice when framing original art, limited prints or other valuable artwork. It blocks 99% of UV light.

Have we ever shared before about how custom framing can work magic!?? It can! Take this image from House Beautiful Magazine - The designer started with three smaller antique prints... Because the scale was a bit off to hang them as is above the desk, they used an oversize matboard, in the same tone as the artwork to add scale to the pieces, and then custom framed from there! This is a fantastic way to magically make art larger, to fit within a specific space :-)

The best part of custom framing is the look on the customers face when they come back in to take home their newly framed picture or art work. It's all ways a photo opportunity.
