A custom piece of ductwork just waiting to be welded!

When we have to have a flat sheet of metal turn, our team accomplishes this by splitting the sheet metal up into multiple pieces via 3D modeling and our plasma table. Once this is done, the piece is fitted together and then fully welded and tested to ensure no leakage.

Our team is hard at work on the final push to end 2023 with a bang! Currently in process we have custom ductwork, a large platform / structure job, and a large hot gas filtration system!

This is just the top of one of the scrubbers, which will be fully insulated, cladded, and test fit prior to shipment to ensure a smooth and safe installation on-site!

What happens once we finish the fabrication in our shop?

Most of our projects are and the products end up on an industrial site for installation. Once it leaves our facility, it is shipped to field crews on-site that are responsible for installation.

Here's some custom duct work we made for a customer for a replacement project, which included some requested changes for clean out ports and duct supports.

Hoppers are used on the bottom of dust collectors such as baghouses as a common collection point. In a baghouse, the material accumulates and is removed via compressed air pulsing, reverse air introduction, or even shaking the filters!

Hoppers typically have a screw, rotary air lock, double dump valve, or another type of mechanism that moves the material from the hopper to either a transport line or to as waste collection container.

We're proud to play a small role in helping to keep our air clean!

You might be asking..... what are helical strakes?

They are used as stabilizers on stacks to help mitigate the vibrations that are caused by the wind when the stack is free standing in the air. The strakes help to disrupt the airflow which greatly reduces the self-induced cross wind motion.

Another day, another oversized load out the door!

Huge thank you to Lansing Community College for hosting us this week for an Employer Recruitment Table and a tour of their super impressive welding facilities! We had a great time connecting with the next generation of welders.

We showed these big sections of a dust collection system a couple of weeks ago in process and now they are making their way to their home! An 18' wide load is not something you see coming out of a fab shop every day!

One of the prettiest projects we've completed! For this particular project, we were tasked not only with fabrication but also electropolishing. Through one of our trusted partners, we were able to offer a turnkey solution.

So what exactly is electropolishing?

Electropolishing removes a small amount of surface material and contaminants via a chemical process and electrical current. This leaves an ultra-clean, shiny, and smooth surface finish.

A small cyclone completed for a customer back in ~2010. Cyclones are a form dust collection technology used in air pollution control processes to collect particulate from the air.

We are proud to be a manufacturing partner to the companies and end users dedicated to keeping the air clean!

We had a great time hosting the Red Thunder Robotics #7166 team for a tour! The future is very bright with this group!

From the fab shop to installed!

The RWI team recently assisted a customer with replacing their duct work for the exhaust from an air pollution control system. Working directly with the system Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), our fabrication team manufactured the duct work while our field service crew removed the old duct and installed the new.

In addition to custom fabrication and contract manufacturing, we also have field service capabilities offered through our sister company Industrious Service Group.

ISG was formed in 2021 to offer field services to industrial sites for project ex*****on and management, demolitions and installations, maintenance and service packages, and troubleshooting of air pollution control equipment.
