Mitchell County Trap Range

BACKGROUND

The Mitchell County Trap Range opened in 2006 and has been growing rapidly ever since. Our facility currently has four trap houses.

In the spring area high school trap teams from Osage, St Ansgar, Riceville, and Central Springs, practice and host meets at the range. Safety is the highest priority; student and youth shooters are taught correct form and procedures and are held to zero tolerance standards. Yet another great night at the trap range! Congrats to Michael Uthe on shooting his first 25 and receiving a 49/50, and also to Shelby Prochaska for shooting her 2nd 25 of the season and shooting a 49/50. Also a congrats to Katelin Prochaska and Jared Popp for shooting 25s tonight! Thank you Charles City trap team for helping celebrate the 5 Osage kids accomplishment of shooting 25 & 50 straight! Congratulations to Trystan Dohlman, Cody Adams, Cody Berhow, and Shelby Prochaska for shooting 25 straight this season! Then a huge congratulations to Jeff Morische for shooting 50 straight this season! Looking forward to what the rest of this season has to offer the kids! Mary Bergan : Mitchell County Press

Most of you know a close member of the Mitchell Co. Trap Family Arnie Bergan. Arnie who donates much time and shoots religiously at the range lost his wife Mary unexpectedly this week. We ask that you please keep them in your hearts and prayers.
