The position involves assisting the County Engineer in performing engineering duties in planning, road and bridge design, AutoCAD, surveying, construction administration and inspection and testing of materials for County projects.
Successful candidates are preferred to possess a Civil/ Construction Engineering Degree, Associate, or Technical Degree, or similar education and/or experience that provides the knowledge and skill set as required.
Applicants shall have, or be able to obtain, Iowa DOT certifications in Level I & II Agg, Level I HMA, Level I & II PCC, have knowledge and experience with, or ability to learn, hydraulics software, AutoCAD, MS-Office and modern surveying equipment. Effective written and oral communication skills are a requirement of this position, along with the ability to establish working relationships and convey information with co-workers, contractors, officials and the public.
Salary is estimated between $65,000 and $75,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
Candidates must possess valid State of Iowa driver's license and be insurable under the County.

JOB SUMMARY and KEY OBJECTIVES
This comprehensive position has contact with many aspects of manufacturing operations and Supply Chain. Collects data, allocates costs, and prepares reports that maintain the company’s cost accounting system. Support Supply Chain, Osage Manufacturing Plant by working with plant managers in developing annual overhead budget, work with onsite engineers to update BOMs and establishing product costs and analyzing monthly manufacturing variances. This position is responsible for preparing standard cost reports, determining manufacturing variances, closing monthly manufacturing accounting, reviewing closed production orders, and communicating with management. Prepares journal entries, maintains and reconciles ledger accounts. Must be able to assist the Cost Accounting Manager, Controller and Senior Director of Finance with recommendations on system and reporting improvement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Drive the preparation of the annual overhead budget for the plant.
• Assist in development overhead rates.
• Determine and update product standard costs for Osage
• Prepares reports and explanations for Osage and monthly manufacturing variances. Completes month end close for manufacturing accounting.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS

• Data entry or review and maintain all item master set up and bill of material data in SAP cost accounting application.
• Reviews all manual inventory adjustments and conduct annual physical inventory procedures for Osage.
• Review and post all manufacturing accounting and inventory payable transactions.
• Complete assigned general ledger account reconciliation for inventory accounts and complete other special projects as needed.
• Support with budgeting.

PREFERRED QUALITIFICATIONS and EDUCATION
College Degree BA, or equivalent with 4 – 7 years of related experience.
SAP experience preferred.
Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) skills, intermediate level.
Good inter-departmental communication (written / verbal) required.

Wastewater Operator

JOB SUMMARY and KEY OBJECTIVES
The purpose of this position is to perform duties related to the operation, maintenance and control of wastewater treatment facilities. The individual monitors’ equipment, gauges and charts; records data related to water quality to ensure water is properly treated before releasing it to the municipal wastewater facility. Keeps supervisor and lead operator apprised of unique situations and problems encountered and identify and reports safety, environmental and other work requirements for resolution.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Operates and controls electric motors, pumps, and valves to regulate flow of raw water into treating plant.
• Handles and controls water and industrial wastewater treatment using hazardous chemicals.
• Operates, maintains and repairs process units such as clarifiers, aeration basins pumps, valves and dewatering equipment that has a direct effect on the treatment process.
• Responds to and cleans up hazardous spills as required.
• At all times wears appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as determined by position and duties.
• Complies with health and safety rules and procedures; performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS

• Works at varying elevations.
• Operates a forklift.
• Keeps a neat and clean work environment.
• Completes required trainings.
• Required to walk, climb stairs, lift up to 50 lbs., open and close valves, stand and sit.
• Must be available to work other shifts as directed, to include weekends/holidays and on-call duties.
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALITIFICATIONS and EDUCATION
• High School diploma or equivalency.
• One (1) years’ experience as a water or wastewater operator.
• Experience performing operations, chemical testing, maintenance and repairs to waster distribution, collection, treatment, and utility plumbing systems, use technical manuals, bulletins or manufacture’s specifications while performing maintenance.
• Ability to obtain Grade 4 water and wastewater license.
• Knowledge of math and chemistry.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Proficiency and knowledge of a variety of hand and power tools.

RR Donnelley Osage Label is a narrow web printing, distribution, warehouse and fulfillment center under one roof. Osage produces lithographic and flexographic printed pressure sensitive label and forms products for the short, medium and long run length markets.
In addition to the equipment and expertise to produce a wide range of labels and forms construction, the Osage Team provides imaging, printing, distribution and warehousing capabilities supported by 55,000 sq. ft. of racked finished good storage capacity.
This posting is for a 3rd Shift Press Operator
Job Duties:
• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain a gravure press or single or multi-color offset press to print single-color, two-color, and/or multi-color work which includes large solids, screen tints, line and halftones with critical color values and registration requirements ranging from hairline to critical or operate similarly situated equipment that applies a variety of non-ink based coatings to a paper web or sheet stock.
• Review job specifications to determine the press setup according to the imposition of the run (sheet wise or work and turn).
• Perform all make-ready tasks associated with the type of press operated such as hanging plates or installing cylinders, examine plates/cylinders for imperfections and checks for correct positioning of images, prepping blankets, adjusting tension and register etc.
• Make necessary color corrections and/or press adjustments prior to production run to meet and maintain the quality specifications of the work.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, making minor repairs and replacing worn or broken parts as required. Performs periodic maintenance recommended by the manufacturer.
Required Skills:
o Skill to read and understand job specifications and knowledge of press capabilities to determine the most appropriate press usage, press settings and materials needed to run the job successfully.
o Skill to make a variety of difficult precise settings of controls, settings, and adjustments, and to perform routine operational maintenance of equipment. Skill in routine operational maintenance and minor repairs to equipment.
o Knowledge of the appropriate amount of packing pressure needed to obtain the proper printing pressure for the type of job being run.
o Skill in use of micrometer to mount and align the printing plate correctly.
o Must be mechanically inclined
