Stay safe and Merry Christmas!

Our Ice Cream Social is Sunday, July 10th, from 5:00-7:00pm.

For a second year St. John's has offered the use of our parsonage to be used by members of Cedar Summerstock. Marjean and Vicki had the opportunity to meet and greet the cast and crew and had their picture taken with three of the members, (l-r)Jack Bechard, Griffin Cole, and Rodney McKinner, staying at our parsonage. As a thank you, the cast members staying at our parsonage will provide special music at our June 19th worship service.
Thank you to Charlotte Meitner and Pastor Roy Ott for providing the music for our worship service this morning. We weren't able to hold our service in the cemetery because of the rain and lightning.
St. John’s service in the cemetery this morning will be held in the church due to weather.

Several of our resident lifts are in need of replacement. This piece of equipment plays an extremely important role in our ability to serve our residents.
We are beginning a fund raising effort to replace one lift. Eventually we will need to replace 3 in total.
The estimate pictured below shows how expensive these lifts are.
As always, any help with our fundraising efforts are greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance!

Our Lenten theme, Full to the Brim, is an invitation—into a radically different Lent, into a full life. It’s an invitation to be authentically who you are, to counter scarcity and injustice at every turn, to pour out even more grace wherever it is needed. And so, this Lent, let us trust—fully—that we belong to God. Let us increase our capacity to receive and give grace. Let us discover the expansive life God dreams for us.
See you tonight at 5:30 pm for our joint Ash Wednesday service held at St. John's Lutheran Church.
Lowell (Butch) Kroneman passed away on Tuesday, February 15. Please keep Judy and family in your prayers. A Celebration of Life has been set for March 26th.
We realize it’s late notice but for those attending worship service at St. John’s tomorrow morning you are invited to wear a jersey of your favorite team, or any team, on this super bowl Sunday.

A new fundraising project! We are looking to purchase 4 oxygen concentrators. They cost $520 each. We currently rent them and the cost is prohibitive.
Any donations can be sent to the business office at Faith Lutheran Home.
As always, all donations that help us meet our goals to care for our seniors are appreciated!
Thank you!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! What a wonderful day to celebrate 150 years of ministry for St. John's. It is hard to find enough words to describe the joy and excitement that surrounded everybody yesterday. We appreciate all of the support from our members, fellow parish members, and the community. Thank you to all who helped make this a special day in any way and to our guests and former ministry staff for their greetings. Even though we gather in "church", all of you are indeed what makes up our church.
The T-shirts made for our 150th have arrived. If you ordered some, they are available for pickup at church in the back pews. They are sorted and bagged with a label with your name on them. We do have a limited number of extra gray t-shirts that will be available for sale at the Ice Cream Social.
Only one day to go! Tomorrow, August 14th, is the day of our Ice Cream Social and Campfire worship service.
Our Ice Cream Social runs from 4:30 to 6:30pm. We will have plenty of outdoor tables to eat at as well as tables in the basement. We will also have covered containers for takeouts available.
The campfire worship service will be at 7:00pm. Please come with some memories to share during the service. We also want to remind everybody that if they are uncomfortable with the crowds that you can stay in your car to watch the service while listening on an fm radio station.
We can't wait to see you on Saturday!
Two more days!! Our Ice Cream Social and campfire worship service are this Saturday, August 14th, serving from 4:30 to 6:30pm and worshiping at 7:00pm, to mark our 150th.
We will have seating inside and outside for eating as well as takeouts available.
Our worship service will combine singing some older familiar hymns along with sharing memories. We will be encouraging everybody attending to share some memories during the service. A reminder that we will broadcast on a fm station if you want to remain seated in your vehicle.
Hope to see you all there on Saturday.
