Hello
Welcome to our website
LIVING WORD DAILY DEVOTIONAL
DATE: MONDAY 26TH, FEBRUARY 2018.
TITLE: GOD IS OBSERVING YOU
SCRIPTURAL READING
ROMANS 9:17
For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same
purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power
in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all
the earth.
God is observing everyone living under this planet earth in
other to know what to do with them. And it is our doing and
our track-records that will determine what God will use us
for; apart from those God has destined to use for a
particular special purpose. And even at that, as God is
observing you, He is preparing you for what to use you for,
and it is what you are doing now, that will determine what
God will use you for. In the opening scripture, the word of
God says, For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this
same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my
power in thee, and that my name might be declared
throughout all the earth (Romans 9:17). Is not as if God
created Pharaoh to destroyed him. No, God created Pharaoh
the same way He created everyone. But it is the doings of
Pharaoh that made God used him for that purpose. God
told Moses,
And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply my signs
and my wonders in the land of Egypt (Exodus 7:3).
If Pharaoh had good heart in the first place, God would not
have used him for that kind of assignment. Because God
uses those with good heart for good works (1Samuel
16:12-13). God had observed this Pharaoh year in year out
to see if he will change from his hardness of heart, but his
persistence in the act made God stamp him for that
purpose. One question that we must ask ourselves
concerning the case of this Pharaoh is! Why is it that God
did not use the previous Pharaoh for that destruction?
Because that Pharaoh did not gave room for it until he
passed on. And this new Pharaoh made himself available,
and he was used for destruction.
Brethren with your track-records, your antecedent, and your
present works, can God count on you for good works? Can
God use you to do great exploit for His kingdom? You will be
able to answer this, with your present doings. Brethren if
you have not being taken cognizant before that God is
observing you, you need to start doing that now, so that you
don't live in ignorant. As God is observing us, this are the
things that He wants to see in us in other to use us for good
works! A good and a sincere heart, the spirit of service, the
spirit of forgivesness, serving God in spirit and in truth, and
a life void of sin.
WORDS TO MEDITATE ON.
If you have a good and a sincere heart, God will not use you
for destruction.
Study Scriptures On The Topic.

Associate with Others Who Have Hope

In the United States, I have noticed throughout the many presidential elections during my lifetime that conservative voters and liberal voters are both clustered into certain geographical areas. I used to wonder why the liberals moved to certain states or regions while the conservatives lived in other areas. The truth is this: geographical areas became liberal or conservative because of their associations. Likewise, the mind-set of community organizations and churches can influence the thinking of their communities.

Many decades ago, I was invited to a dinner party where I met several influential people. They were positive, polite Christians who became my friends. But there was something different about them that was unique from all my other friends. They each owned an airplane.

Although I always enjoyed traveling by air and watching the Blue Angels air show in Pensacola, Florida, I had never considered being a pilot and owning my own plane. But the continued association with my new friends, who were all pilots and owned their own private planes, caused the desire to build within me. It wasn't long until I had become a pilot with a beautiful plane (that I owned), sitting in a hangar (that I owned) at a local airport. Our associations with others throughout our lives truly affect our desires as well as our attitudes.

What does this have to do with hopelessness and regaining hope? If things have pulled you down, if you are battling depression or insecurity, if your heart is broken, if you feel like all is lost, or if you feel like you are in a pit with no way of escape, the last thing you need is a negative speaking friend who lacks character and integrity to agree with you. You must find friends who think a little brighter, see a little further, and have more hope for their own life than you have for your own. The emotional pull of others must be in an upward direction!

When I was younger, I loved playing table tennis. I wasn't the greatest, although I did receive the first-place trophy in a tournament in Puerto Rico. I remember someone asking me what the key was to developing my "ping-pong skills." Instinctively I said, "I never like to practice with someone that I can beat. I always practice with someone better than I am."

That principle applies to so many things in life. If you want to have hope, find someone who has some! The Bible explains it this way. If you want to find a friend, you must show yourself friendly (Proverbs 18:24).

AUTHORITY OVER UNCLEAN SPIRITS

Several times in the Bible, Jesus spoke to demonic spirits and they left. He gave instruction about what takes place when a demonic spirit leaves a person. Jesus said when an unclean spirit goes out of a person, it passes through waterless places seeking rest (Luke 11:24).

Jesus went on to say when these unclean spirits do not find any rest, in desperation they return to the body they left. If that body is swept clean and has not been filled with the Spirit of God, the evil spirit re-enters with seven other spirits who are more evil. The result is the man who was delivered is in much worse condition than before his deliverance (Luke 11:24-26).

Not only do we learn from this passage that there are varying degrees of evil among the demonic spirits, but we also learn there is a responsibility to fill the emptiness within a lost person who has been delivered from demonic oppression with the Holy Spirit. Deliverance without salvation accomplishes nothing. In fact, it creates a worse situation for the person who has been delivered.

For two years Paul lived in Asia and preached the Word of the Lord Jesus to both the Jews and the Gentiles. During this time, God worked many unusual miracles through him. There were times when handkerchiefs or aprons that had touched his body were taken to people who were sick and the diseases left them. It’s also interesting to note that the anointing on the handkerchiefs and aprons even caused evil spirits to leave those who were possessed. (Acts 19:11-12.)

As his fame grew and people saw the results of these unusual miracles, they attempted to imitate his actions and duplicate the miracles they had observed. Sceva, a Jewish priest, had seven sons who attempted to duplicate Paul’s miracles. They spoke to a demon-possessed man by saying, “We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches” (v.13). The evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?” (v.15). Immediately the man who was possessed of the evil spirit overpowered them, beat them, and stripped them of their clothing and they fled naked. (Acts 19:13-16.)

This event that occurred during the early years of the church explains another spiritual truth concerning the spirit world. Attempting to operate in the things of the spirit without the anointing of the Holy Spirit is dangerous. Even though these young Jewish men had been raised in the family of a Jewish priest, they were not born again, they did not have the Holy Spirit living inside of them, and had not been given the authority over the power of the enemy. The result was that they fled stripped and whipped. As a Christian, you should always be led by the Holy Spirit when encountering the forces of the enemy.

You Can't Change Your Past,
But You Can Change Your Future

Many years ago, there were two men who entered into a business agreement. Although they were partners and owned the business together, one man invested all of his money and the other man ran the business. The business failed and because of that, the man who furnished the money lost everything. The man who ran the business eventually recovered and became successful, but he carried the guilt of the business failure with him for decades. As the years passed, the guilt increased.

The man who furnished the money and lost everything began to drink and eventually lost his family. He never could get his life back together.

The other man became very successful financially, but daily carried the guilt with him for the business failure of decades before. Although everything looked good in his life, his joy was never complete. He felt that everything that had happened to his previous business partner could have been avoided had he done something differently decades before. The guilt he carried daily robbed him of his joy.

The Holy Spirit does not minister through guilt. Anytime guilt is involved, it is the work of the enemy. Yes, the Holy Spirit does convict us, but conviction draws a person toward repentance, forgiveness, and freedom. When we receive the ministry of the Holy Spirit, we become set free from the pain, guilt, and regret of the past.

Over the years, I have counseled with countless numbers of people who cannot let go of the guilt of the past. While it is true that the decisions of yesterday have created the world and the atmosphere we live in today, we cannot allow the enemy to use guilt to work in our lives today. If we allow the enemy to condemn us by bringing up the guilt of the past, then our future will not be as God has planned it to be.

We must never forget that the decisions we make today will affect tomorrow. If we want tomorrow to be free of pain, we must do something different today. Remember, the decisions you made yesterday created the world you are living in today. The world you will live in tomorrow is being framed and created by the decisions you make and the words you speak today. Nothing is going to change until something changes. You must decide that change will take place today.

Never forget that the Holy Spirit convicts us in order to bring freedom, but the enemy condemns us in order to bring bo***ge.

Unbelief brings condemnation. Believing what God has said brings freedom. Jesus said that if we would continue in His Word, we would know the truth and the truth would set us free (John 8:31-32). And the truth is this: If we allow the Holy Spirit to minister to us and if we allow God's power (His grace) to work through us, then we can conquer the guilt of the past and move forward with freedom into the future. In the natural, it may seem impossible, but remember, Jesus said that if we can believe, all things are possible.

"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit" (Romans 8:1).

It's the Platform, Not the Personality

Never before in the United States of America has the choice been so clear. In an election where there are two parties, there has never before been such a clear distinction between them. A true Christian who believes the Bible is the Word of God should have no question on how to vote.

One party believes in preserving the life of unborn children, while the other party believes in disposing of them as though they are useless trash that clutters their lives.

One party believes that marriage should be between one man and one woman while the other party believes in allowing what the Bible calls perversion to be a legal and acceptable lifestyle.

One party believes in a fair market economic system and the other party promotes socialism.

One party believes in free speech while the other believes in freedom of speech as long as you agree with them. Otherwise censorship is imposed.

One party believes that our nation should continue to be under Judeo-Christian laws while the other wants to alter our founding Constitution.

One party believes in freedom of religion. The other party wants freedom from religion.

As a Christian voter, you must remember this. People change but the party platform does not. What does that mean to you? It means that you should not vote for a candidate because of their looks or their personality, but you must vote for the party platform you support. Too many people are emotionally involved with personalities. This election is so clear as to the objectives of both parties that voting for the Christian should be a no-brainer.

Look deep into the platform and vote for the candidate that stands on the Godly platform. Then you will be agreeing with God and that’s a good thing.
