We have already clinched the playoffs with two games remaining however we have an opportunity to host a playoff game which would be amazing and all the support is needed. Hats off to Orlando Storm who played a fantastic game today winning 3-1. This was our first loss since last November snapping a 18 game unbeaten run in all competitions. We did not play to our level today and against a quality side like the Storm, they will make you pay. We had our opportunities but fell short. Congrats to the Storm, they deserved the win today. Even though we are disappointed in our performance, we are elated we were the champions this season and are excited for what’s ahead. Now we move forward towards the State Championships in three weeks. Thank you to our amazing primary sponsors Amazing Frames who attended today’s match. This Sunday is a HUGE game for the Spartans. Win and we clinch the Spring 2018 USASA Elite Premier Championship. Orlando Storm are the defending tournament and Florida Classic Champions and will be a very difficult team to beat. They are one of the strongest teams in the state featuring former professional players so we need to be on point. Hopefully all come out on Sunday to support your Spartans! SPARTANS WIN!!! Still undefeated with a couple very difficult games remaining in the regular season. Raggamuffins provided a really difficult test today but we were able to prevail. We attacked and defended as a unit. The first half the team played extremely well while the second half we made a number of mistakes but thankfully our defense held extremely firm. and .11 linked up with a beautiful combination to score our first goal in the 22nd minute. Only two minutes later provided a beautiful cross perfectly placed for Bryce to get a head on it. Ragga were able to put one past us later in the first half after won a header off of a free kick that went straight up in the air due to being knocked right before he made contact with the ball but unfortunately their striker was able to put a foot on the rebound and put it past our keeper. The second half was a defensive clinic keeping them scoreless even after we went down a man in the 73rd minute after a player received their second yellow. Congrats to the Spartans! On to the next!
