So stoked for this fun Julian Yu chamber arrangement of Pictures at an Exhibition at 🎶 Featuring much percussion…particularly enjoying sitting in front of .vongkoth who is quite literally bringing the good vibes! Tampa Bay folks, come hear it tomorrow in Clearwater or Saturday in St. Pete. Beethoven septet on the first half if that’s your thing 😉

A little bit of Roberto Sierra’s “Fandangos” 🎶
Well, I ran 18 miles this morning (the farthest I’ve ever run! 💪) and now it’s time to get my fingers moving too 🙂 I love how in this piece the harp often helps lead the orchestra from periods of crazy chaos into moments of calm melody. Looking forward to tomorrow’s OPO concert, featuring flutist Nestor Torres in a program celebrating Puerto Rican heritage!

From last week’s Ukrainian Ballet Benefit…I’ve never had the opportunity to play so much traditional ballet music at once! In this charming bit from Minkus’ “Don Quixote,” we really see the harp’s ability to be the candy sprinkles on top of the sundae 🙂🍨🎶

Honored that performed with the Ukrainian National Ballet this past weekend in a fundraiser for humanitarian aid in Ukraine 🇺🇦❤️ Of course I couldn’t see the stage from the pit, but I watched the recording of the livestream and the dancers are simply spectacular.

Nothing like some Grandjany to wake you up for an 8 AM rehearsal and subsequent two services! A church gig asked if I could learn Aria in Classic Style in just over a week, and I was unsure as I had never learned it before and had also just returned after being away from a harp for a couple of weeks. But how could I turn down the opportunity to play this harp standard?? It was a fun challenge and a great experience. Especially cool to play it with a string orchestra instead of organ, including some of my colleagues from OPO 😀 Special thanks to the many cups of tea involved in getting my fingers moving that early in the morning 😉

🎶I’m leaving on a jet plane🎶…Ok I didn’t actually put my harp on a plane. Swipe to see the real reason the harp and I took a trip to the airport: to play a concert! MCO was crowded and hectic today, but hopefully we managed to brighten the day of a few beleaguered travelers 😊 (within limitations)
