Nissan just dropped the Skyline 400R Limited, and it’s more than just a car. It’s the final chapter of Japan’s legendary Skyline sedan. Only 400 units will ever exist, each powered by a 3.0L twin-turbo V6 pushing 405 hp, with carbon fiber details, stiffer suspension, and numbered 400R Limited plaques for collectors.

This isn’t just another limited edition. It’s Japan’s farewell to the iconic Skyline badge before Infiniti takes over in 2027 with an all-new RWD twin-turbo sports sedan rumored to share the Z’s 450-hp powerplant and possibly even a manual gearbox. 👀

At roughly ¥6.9 million (≈$45K USD), the 400R Limited is both a collector’s send-off and a sneak peek at Nissan and Infiniti’s next-gen performance future.

Remember our last post about the rumored return of the Infiniti Q50? It is starting to look more and more real. Infiniti just confirmed the next generation Q50 during a private dealer meeting in Las Vegas, and it is not what anyone expected.

Instead of going electric, Infiniti is bringing back real performance. Reports say the new Q50 will use the 3.0 liter twin turbo V6 from the Nissan Z, pushing around 450 horsepower with rear wheel drive and even a possible manual transmission.

Infiniti Americas Vice President Tiago Castro called it an opportunity to reconnect with the brand’s roots, describing it as unapologetic and unexpected.

Since that news broke, the internet has gone wild with concept designs and fan renders of what the 2027 Q50 could look like. Many are calling it the modern G35 revival everyone has been waiting for.

At this point, the return of the Q50 feels closer than ever. If the rumors are true, Infiniti might finally be ready to bring back the thrill that made the brand legendary.

We didn’t know we needed a 1000-horsepower Infiniti QX80 until Nissan actually built one. The QX80 R Spec is a bold experiment that merges the luxury of Infiniti with the raw performance DNA of the legendary Nissan GTR. Built for the upcoming 2025 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, this one-off creation pushes the limits of what a full-size SUV can be.

At its core sits the renowned VR38DETT twin-turbo V6 engine, the same powerhouse that earned the GTR its Godzilla nickname. This particular motor was hand-built by Tsunemi Ooyama, one of Nissan’s elite Takumi craftsmen, and tuned to deliver an astonishing 1000 horsepower. The engine is paired to a seven-speed automatic transmission through a custom CNC-machined adapter, ensuring that the monstrous power is harnessed with precision.

To handle that kind of output, Infiniti engineered a fully reworked chassis. The QX80 R Spec rides on massive 24x12-inch bronze wheels wrapped in Yokohama 315/35R24 tires, providing immense grip and presence. Underneath, a set of MCS three-way adjustable coilovers with Eibach springs bring the SUV closer to the ground, while custom steering knuckles and a relocated steering rack improve handling and reduce bump steer.

Visually, the R Spec is as aggressive as its performance suggests. The widebody kit, inspired by the GTR T Spec Takumi edition, includes an ARP front splitter, sculpted bumpers, side sills, and a huge rear wing that juts out from the roofline. The Midnight Purple wrap pays tribute to the legendary R34 and R35 GTRs, while a custom rear diffuser and R35-inspired exhaust system complete the look.
