This morning I’m standing barefoot in the grass, coffee in hand — a little cinnamon, a drizzle of honey — feeling the cool earth beneath my feet. It’s one of my favorite ways to begin the day, grounding into the moment before the world starts asking questions.

Last night, I went to an event. You know the kind — where people smile and ask, “So, what do you do?” For a long time, I’ve dreaded that question. For over 20 years, my answer has been some version of: “I’m an adventure photographer, a storyteller, a filmmaker.” And while that’s still true, it no longer feels complete. Something has shifted.

Last night, when someone asked me that question again, I paused. Then I said, “I’m a creative visionary.” She smiled and said, “Oh, I like that.” And in that moment, something inside me relaxed. Because the truth is — I’ve evolved. My work has evolved. My purpose has deepened. I’m a woman in conversation with the universe — through images, dreams, and stories. Every morning, when I sit with my cup of coffee, I ask: What are we doing today? What needs to happen? What wants to be born? That’s what I mean when I say coffee with the universe. It’s my daily practice of listening. Of remembering that creation doesn’t start from doing — it starts from being.

Over the past few years, I’ve been through initiations that reshaped me — dreams that tore through the old layers, moments that asked me to show up bold, confident, and unhidden. And after last night, I realized something: this isn’t a reintroduction. It’s an emergence. This is me now — the Dreamwalker, the Visionary, the woman who has coffee with the universe before sunrise. I no longer need to explain her. I just need to be her.

So here I am, barefoot in the grass, heart open, ready to share from this place — to tell stories that are medicine, that plant seeds for whoever they’re meant to find. Because that’s what I believe now more than ever: Our stories are how the universe speaks through us. It’s time to share the visions, the voice, and the wonder of this next chapter.

I have been a believer in vision boards ever since I learned about them from Oprah many years ago! I did my first one in 2012 - literally cutting images from magazines and gluing them to poster board. I then migrated to “clip art,” and eventually to Pinterest boards. When AI imagery came into the picture, I thought, I wonder if Jen can help me take my “vision board” truly to the next level and show me what I see beyond clip art and Pinterest; truly my vision with me in it. The answer was YES! Jen created the most beautiful version of anything I could have ever imagined - but here’s the thing, it’s exactly as I saw it. Not only do I now have the opportunity to look at that vision every day, but I can finally show someone else what I see. Dreams have become reality. 💫
