Actual Architecture Co. is excited to share our winning entry to “Duplex X Design”, a design competition led by for age-accessible and affordable duplex designs meant to serve as new models for Missing Middle housing. Duplex + is an adaptable prototype duplex home designed for aging in place, affordability, and energy efficiency.

Actual Architecture Co. won 2 awards for unbuilt work in the 2024 AIA Central States Design Awards program hosted by in Missouri. This is 24J Houses, a missing middle housing project in Lincoln Nebraska designed with
The project features 6 independent dwellings on 2 lots merged into a new community land trust. A mix of affordable and attainable market rate housing (differentiated on the interiors, not the exterior) helps to fill the gap in the city and introduces a stealthy density to Lincoln.

First time I have been mentioned in the liner notes on a new record, thanks Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts ! LOW END turns 5 with this new double album and a great performance series...I can't believe it has been 5 years since FACT and friends designed and built the LOW END venue.

and hosted a tour of for 40 members (a sell out crowd) this week. On a beautiful day we spoke to the group on the deck and toured the interior with current and past student designbuilders on site.
Art Chapel is a collaborative project with teams from and with the Crounse Construction and others. Construction will be completed in Fall 2024.

Actual Architecture Company is thrilled to share that Ashley Byars, AIA  has joined our team as a partner. As part of her diverse experience in architecture, Ashley worked for several years in our predecessor office, Min | Day, where she served as project architect for the Bucktown House in Chicago.
