I'm having a small private sound bath with poetry and meditation next Sunday, on my birthday, at Wisteria Moon. There are like 2-3 spots left. It's pay what you can. Message me if you're interested. Hopefully Jessica Ryan will play the gong again too. It's really is a magical space. ✨️🌖🌕🌔✨️ wait. Nope. It filled up that quick. I guess I can book a second show if people want to hear me that much. Thanks. I'll post when I schedule the next one.

Top ten reasons living in an RV is safer and smarter than living in a house or apartment because, ya know, apocalypse.

10 In case of forest fire I don't have to pack, my exterior walls are not wood, and I can just drive to where it is less hellscapey.

9 In case of earthquakes, suspension and tires are nice shock absorbers, and everything is already built into the walls and tied down. Plus, with no shared walls, no upstairs apartment will collapse on or trap me

8 In case of bad air, like fires from train derailment or chemical spills, I have a smaller space to seal and filter as I leave aforementioned ecological disaster

7 In case of power grid failure, generator and solar panels say "what power grid failure?".

6 You see where I'm going here, right?

5 In case of water being not potable or even carcinogenic to the touch, I have a closed system to eat, drink, and bathe from, that's easy to filter before filling.

4 In case of tsunami, nuclear attack, war, UFOs, aliens, or volcanic eruption, I can just drive away because I'm already packed.

3 In case of snow or cold, I have electric, propane, and a teeny wood stove. It heats a small space easily and cheaper because 240 square feet is manageable with 3 or 4 small heating elements.

2. I own it and can't get kicked out of it. There is no manager or application. You just buy it.

1 You can't beat the views.

0 Change the laws. A lot of smart people live in RV's.

Breathe

If we worshipped water and air
Things like Ohio wouldn't happen
Or Valdez, Chernobyl, Deepwater Horizon
There would be no DAPL to protest
Train workers wouldn't have to strike
I would not have to monitor air quality
Or toxic gas plumes
If we worshiped life
I bet you could swim in and drink the water
Almost anywhere
There would be plenty of food to spare
Growing here and there
I'm sure flowers would be abundant
Safe environmentally friendly housing
Would blossom too
Made from h**p and bamboo
We would have better schools
If we worshipped soil and mycelium
Learned how to build and share
I'm sure there would be enough goodness
Everywhere
Things like DDT, glyphosate, and vinyl chloride
Would not exist to spill
Birds could fly instead of being killed
We would not need these things
If we worshipped skies and seas
I'm sure we would have houses
And plenty to eat
I don't know why we need phosgene
Probably to worship oil and money
Or to paint a war machine
I think if we worshipped water and air
It could fix everything
Simply
Worship
The right
To breathe

Yes Queen.

In honor of Black History Month...

Today, we’re paying tribute to Makeda, the legendary Queen of Sheba.
Around 960 B.C. this African Queen reigned over a vast empire that included Ethiopia and surrounding regions. She was an independent ruler who set a new standard for women in power. Queen Makeda was virtuous, beautiful, extremely wealthy and prosperous, an astute business woman, intelligent and very wise.

This Queen changed the course of history in many ways, but it was her encounter with the Judean King Solomon that she’s most remembered for:

“Now when the Queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of God, she came to test him with hard questions. She came to Jerusalem with a very great caravan, with camels that bore spices, very much gold, and precious stones; and when she came to Solomon, she spoke with him about all that was in her heart. So Solomon answered all her questions; there was nothing so difficult for the king that he could not explain it to her… Then she said to the king: “It was a true report which I heard in my own land about your words and your wisdom. However I did not believe the words until I came and saw with my own eyes; and indeed the half was not told me. Your wisdom and prosperity exceed the fame of which I heard…She gave the king one hundred and twenty talents of gold (4 million dollars today!), spices in great quantity, and precious stones. There never again came such abundance of spices as the Queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.” (1 Kings 10)

“Upon meeting, the King and Queen were equally intrigued with one another. She admired his great knowledge; he her grace, beauty and intelligence. Fondness grew into love and their union produced Menelik I, from whom history’s longest line of royalty descends.” 20th century Ethiopian Emperor Haile Selassie I or “Ras Tafari” is said to be a descendant of Queen Makeda and King Solomon.

Queen Makeda is also credited for introducing Ethiopia to the Judeo-Christian philosophy she learned from Solomon.

Even Jesus refers to her in the New Testament when He says:

The Queen of Sheba will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and indeed a greater than Solomon is here. (Matthew 12:42)

Her record of achievements run a mile long…

Queen Makeda, we salute you!

Super mario and this black food show High on The Hog. Hmm. I guess the mushrooms turned into fried chicken and we are saving black princess peach from slavery back in the day on the underground railroad. The bosses and enemies could be plantation owners or cops or in the Klan. Each level you get closer to the north or Canada. I'd play it.

I wish someone would
Buy me flowers
Hold my hand
Give me all their hours
I'd give them a chance
Take me to every party
Help me remember
I love to dance
Do all the things
I could have done
Not crying alone in bed
Do all the things
I could have done
Not crying alone in bed
