Little did we know..... started out taking hair color from a level 5, to a warm level 7.... to this “cool ice” blonde, almost a year later. Somethings take time!

Spring: Highlights
We would like to say “Thank you” to all of our faithful clients, who came out and trusted us with their haircare during this past year of the pandemic. Our staff has worked diligently to take the utmost concern for maintaining all the prescribed safety guidelines. We are thankful for those who have ventured in, and also to those who are returning again after this “hard” year. We are so grateful and continue to maintain the highest standards, as you continue to trust us with your haircare.

It that time of the Year, that we give thanks! Thankful for continued good health, for us and our staff.
For a loyal clientele, thank you for trusting us, for coming to visit. We’ve all worked hard to keep the space safe and sanitized. The blessings is that even in these trying times, we are blest to be able to share the intimacy of our craft, and to be engaged .... “masks on!” At all times. Times have certainly changed, in spite of the time; we are most “Thankful”....😷✂️🎨

Wednesday, October 21, marks our 40th Anniversary in business. Jean and I are so very thankful for the blessings of the longevity of our business. We are grateful to the loyal patronage of our clients over the years; and most grateful for the staff that has contributed to our success over all these years. And not just our present staff, but all of our former employees with whom we have been affiliated with, over theses many years past. We have no immediate plans to retire, so.... maybe, we’ll go for another 10! Thank you again, it has been a pleasure to serve, so very many! 🕊✂️ Philip

Hard to believe “we’ve” been back at “work” for one month, now! We practice all the necessary steps and guidelines of safety and sanitizing, while we care and make you “look good” again! Stay safe and come on in!

Best “Phase II” response from the client in my chair, after getting her haircut, while holding the mirror in her hand and assessing the new look...... “ I love it, makes me want to take off my mask 😷 and run.”........ she didn’t! But I saw her smile right through her well fitted mask!

Making a change, post quarantine.... we’ve got YOU covered! 🎨

As we getting ready to begin again, after isolating and quarantine.... I thank God for Today and the blessing of work, and serving and connecting with others! So thankful for today.... I wanted to share this “exhortation” from one of my favorite Saints, with you!

Counting down to re-opening. 5/29/2020. I want to give a shout-out to my wife and business partner in PRHD. This marks our Fortieth year in business. Jeanne has always handled the business end, while I stood “behind the chair”. What I’d like to say is this: with all “due diligence” she has handled the shut down, she transferred the calls to her mobile phone.... she seriously, tried very hard not to miss a call. If she did, she tirelessly returned calls. She made appointments, canceled appointments, made them again and all this as she listened for the Governor’s word to come. She has worked to clean out and to clean the salon,making sure it is all up to the codes necessary to begin operation again. We opened the doors, in October of 1980, together; here we are in this historic time of this COVID-19 pandemic. The sketch below, is from a photo that I snapped of her, back in the late 1980s. She was leaning over the reception desk.... she’s still there!

This is Mary Ellen, we met each other 50 years ago.... I was 20 and M.E. was 40. I never thought that she was that old then; I can’t believe she’s that now. It’s a testimony to the longevity of friendship. The bonus in all this is: M.E. is a treasured friend and a treasure of a client! Life is Good and beauty of friendship makes it better! ✂️👱👴🏻 .... so here is to celebrating us, and all the years!

Happy Halloween 🎃.... present and past... this years theme: Rock ( I’m an old Rocker)!

On this Day, 39 years ago, we opened our door! God has been good to us! Blest with a hard working, and creative and caring staff..... and loyal and wonderful clientele over all these years. We decided to celebrate, so we did some extensive updating , we are blest! Thanks everyone, it’s been a Joy to serve you ✂️

September 1980.... it was a hectic month that year, working elsewhere and working to get our salon opened. We had some delays, with workmen, permits and inspections. But on Tuesday morning, October 21,1980.... we did it; just the two of us ( Jeanne and myself) opened for business. Now here we are 39 years later, working and revamping and updating. The building back then housed Jules Rist Interiors. It was the official Williamsburg Design Studio; there and at Woodward and Lothrop. The brass handles, door k***s and lock are the original. So, now we’ve replaced the floors, the styling chairs, shampoo room and the rest rooms. All that is left to do is the new quarter-round moldings.
We are grateful to so very many for their patronage over all these many years. We have been blest,and we thank God for having blest the work of our hands and those of our employees.
God is Good!

I showed her pic #1..... not so sure, she looks and says; “ What do you think?” So I told her, “ I don’t hear that you are really committed to “going natural”...., Jackie (who had some over processed ends, and a bit of “natural”..... I take this “bull by the horns”...... Tocco Maggico - does it again!
Outcome: Jackie is HAPPY, not to be “natural”!
