I may not be the cheapest option, but I am the one that actually works.
My Basic SB 1343 training meets the legal requirement in a customized & engaging way. The next two tiers tell you what's really going on — and gives you a clear path forward.
If you're ready to stop checking boxes, dealing with the same problematic behaviors day in and day out, and want to start building a healthier organization - I'm ready to add you to my calendar. (Please note limit of 1-2 workshops a month).

Over half the staff at a recent client organization experienced or witnessed harassment and told no one.
Not because they didn't know how. Because they didn't think it was safe, didn't know who to trust, came from a culture where speaking out was dangerous, and so many other reasons.
Reporting channels, no matter how amazing HR is (and this place has a truly wonderful group of people) don't fix a safety problem. Intentional, targeted, informed, culture work does.

New engagement. And I couldn't be more energized. ✨⚡
I'm working with a C-suite executive at one of the world's top biotech companies — 10 sessions focused on executive presence and high-stakes presentation skills.
What makes this work different? I bring together the neuroscience of how people actually learn, the spontaneity and embrace of "mistakes" of improv thinking, and the deep toolkit of the performing arts.
Because confidence isn't something you have to be born with. It's something you can build with practice.

I finally finished and published an article I've been working on for a while — and given the current moment we're all living through, I think the timing ended up being exactly right.
It asks a simple question: what if a little discomfort could change the world? And then tries to answer it honestly, including the parts that may challenge all of us — across every political identity, generation, and background.
It's about a concept known as the "right to comfort" — the unconscious belief that we deserve to feel emotionally comfortable at all times, even in conversations about bias, discrimination, or injustice. And what that costs all of us when it goes unchecked.
I'd love to know what resonates with you.

You can write the most thoughtful and inspirational policy, but if the culture doesn't have understand it, support it, or believe in it - the behavior will eat it for breakfast.
When I say culture I mean the ideas, customs, characteristics, attitudes, and social behaviors that are normalized in your work environment. Just because you have a rule or a stated expectation doesn't mean anyone is following them day to day.
Policy can be part of changing behavior, but there must be a culture that supports that change. That work often includes addressing fears, clarifying misunderstandings, and ensuring leadership has tools to support and encourage the changes. Change takes time, patience, and a clear plan of action if hearts and minds are truly going to shift.

There has been a lot of discussion about apologies, disabilities, & accountability. As a wyt disabled woman I have been doing a lot of listening to folks more expert than I on Tourettes, the impact of racism, and all of the intersections of identities. Link below & in Linktree bio
Because so much of my work is/ has been moving the needle even just a little bit on all things diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, & belonging (especially resistant YT folks) - I thought it might be useful to share my most read article.
It not only helps anybody, regardless of identities, actively work through what to do when we are called out or in, it also shares one of my most popular topics - the anatomy of an apology. I hope you find it helpful and use it in this situation and any other you encounter. Being called out/in can be tough as it threatens our belief that we are “good”, but really it can be an opportunity to grow and learn. http://tiny.cc/hlfz001

🚨 The problem isn’t the performance frameworks. It’s what happens after rollout.
For two decades, performance review systems have promised transformation:
✅ Objectivity
✅ Equity
✅ Engagement
✅ Better results
But what actually happens is more complicated.
Inconsistent implementation. Manager burnout. Bias. Lost trust. Leadership fatigue.
Our latest carousel breaks down the 20-year pattern of performance review “fads”—and the real reason meaningful change rarely sticks.
Leaders often chase the next “new” approach without pausing to assess what’s working, what isn’t, and how to build trust through follow-through.
At Kimberly A. MacLean Consulting, we help leadership teams break the pattern—by aligning systems with human behavior, emotional intelligence, and accountability.
