We are currently seeking a full-time Flooring Head of Operations with Flooring Forman Experience in Oakdale, NY. This position requires an individual who possesses a keen eye for detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This is a leadership position that will require strong initiative and the necessary drive to be proactive in all phases related to project management and operations. • Schedule jobs and all functions of the job, i.e. (rip-ups, debris removal (as needed), product deliveries. Keep all involved updated, sales and operational staff, of any changes related to the efficiency of the job being completed on time. Track and expedite, through purchasing, all items on order and required for a job to meet the required install date.
• Maintain expense control and profitability
• Set work result standards; establish priorities; monitor progress; revise schedules; resolve problems; report results of the process flow on performance production summaries
• Resolve personnel and performance problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
• Monitor the hiring, onboarding, and service requests of installers and refinishers
• Review post p/o report that is completed by sales, checking for the layout and quantities of materials needed ensuring all data is accurate and provides the best opportunity to satisfy the customer requirements and maximize the profitability. Ability to facilitate the definition of project goals, tasks, and requirements to all involved. Create, approves, and disapprove material change orders utilizing proper documentation.
• Quality Control: have kickoff meetings at the start of each job: review plan, worksheet, layouts, and any special request required to ensure customer satisfaction. Evaluate and maintain job quality and inspect and reinforce the quality standards associated with our company standards. Frequently visit sites accordingly based on size and scope to inspect the quality and accuracy of work being performed. React to potentially challenging items or errors in real-time to minimize large punch list items at job completion.
• Maintain knowledge of current industry-accepted guidelines, trends, and specifications related to flooring installation and products.
• This position requires travel from New York City out to Montauk.
• Thorough knowledge of all flooring installations (wood, laminate, LVP, vinyl)
• Ability to communicate effectively across multiple audiences (e.g., peer teams, management, business partners, clients)

We Installed a dance floor for a client located in Syosset. This project is a floating subfloor to help prevent wear and tear on a dancers body. This system also is the best sound control you can have. We also curve the wood to meet the border for a little extra touch see pictures soon.
