The Community Development Agency of the Incorporated Village of Patchogue will be accepting applications for the Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8 Program) Waiting List from November 4, 2022 to November 10, 2022.
Applications will be available beginning September 29, 2022 at the CDA Office at Patchogue Village Hall, 14 Baker Street, Patchogue, NY 11772 at the Patchogue-Medford Library and on the internet at https://www.patchoguevillage.org/176/Community-Development-Agency.
To qualify, applicants must meet all program guidelines and must not exceed the following income limits:

As per federal guidelines, 75% of persons admitted annually to the program will be families with extremely low income.
In addition to meeting the income limits listed above, the following shall also apply:
-Applicants must meet the documentation requirements of citizenship or eligible immigration status.
-Applicants evicted from public housing or any Section 8 program for drug-related criminal activity are ineligible for assistance for at least three years from the date of the eviction.
Only 300 applications will be selected for the waiting list. Selection will be conducted by lottery, position on the waiting list shall be determined through a random selection process using a computerized program. Applications not selected will be destroyed. Only the 300 applicants selected for the waiting list will be notified in writing by January 10, 2023. Please do not call the Patchogue CDA for updates on the waiting list process. If you do not receive notice by January 10, 2023, you have not been selected for the waiting list.
Applications for the waiting list lottery must be mailed to Patchogue CDA WAITING LIST, PO Box 719, Patchogue, NY 11772. Only applications postmarked between November 4, 2022 and November 10, 2022 will be accepted. Only one application form per household – a single person is considered a household- will be accepted. Only applications that are complete and legible will be accepted.

The Long Island Housing Partnership has received funding to assist homeowners with making repairs to and
improving their homes. Up to $35,300 per home is available. The property being repaired must be a pre-existing
