BSA is going to be holding a chance to learn about all the various Scouting programs in our area on Thursday 12 May from 6-8p at Frying Pan Park. It is a great oppertunity for parents of kids of all ages to learn about programs for next Fall.
There will be representatives to discuss Cub Scouts, BSA Troops, Venture Scouts and STEM Scouts. It is a great chance to talk to various BSA Leaders and hear about the programs for kids of all ages.
I am going to be there to talk to people about STEM Scouts, a new test program for BSA, but would be happy to talk Cub Scouts as well.

If anyone needs a great b day party, we recommend Captain All-Star. He had the kids laughing, singing, jumping, and dancing.

How To File A Complaint Against Dominion - Power Outages
Tired of power outages wrought from poor infrastructure? File a complaint with the State Corporation Commission against Dominion here: https://www.scc.virginia.gov/pages/Electric-Company-Complaint-Form?
Indicate you live in Fox Mill Estates and are experiencing equipment and maintenance-related (non-storm and non-force Majeure) power outages on a continuous and unacceptably frequent basis. Don’t let the “Have you contacted the utility? (If so, what was the utility’s response.)” question scare you away from filing. If you haven’t, just put “No” and file anyway. If you have a story, include it as well.
After filing, you can also email:
Hunter Mill Board of Supervisors and ask they intervene on our behalf with Dominion: [email protected]
Dominion Power’s Executive Escalation Address: [email protected]
Tell all your friends and family and neighbors and community members in Fox Mill who are impacted by the power situation here.

There is a ton of excitement for the first-ever FMEHA Community Yard Sale to be held October 2, 2021, 8am-1pm
Please join in by selling or buying – or both! FMEHA will advertise the yard sale in local news and social sites, and will post signs at the entrances to the neighborhood.
If you want to sell items at your residence in the yard sale:
1. Go to https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0c48aaa62ba2f85-fmeha and enter your address so we can get an idea of the number of homeowners participating. We also will post a running list of individual residences (address only) on the website and Facebook so buyers can find you.
2. Begin gathering and pricing your goodies. For recommendations on how to price your items, check out this good read https://www.angi.com/articles/ultimate-garage-sale-pricing-guide.htm
3. Homeowners are encouraged to post signs at the end of their street or in their yard a few days before the event. FMEHA will post community yard sale signs at the entrances to the neighborhood.
4. Be ready to buy or sell at 8 am. Please note many people begin trolling early!
Start gathering your goodies! Questions? Email Cindy Workosky [email protected].
The next FMEHA social event is our Fall Community Picnic, scheduled for Sept 18, from 3-6 pm (rain date Sept 19 same time).
The picnic will be held in the spirit of the ###II Olympic Games. Our “FMEHA Olympics,” will feature highly competitive, strenuous, mental challenging events (wink, wink), such as Fly Swatter Golf, Olympic Ring Toss, Pool Noodle Hurdles, and the great Pie Eating Contest. We also will have a craft table led by a local artist and teacher.
More details will follow, but in order to make it happen I need help. Please consider lending a hand to make this event a reality. I need folks to lead games, serve food, and help with various other items. It’s not a heavy lift and will be so much fun.
Email me at [email protected]. Please say YES!
