About a month back, I saw a comment on one of my YouTube videos that expressed a curiosity about one of the videos I posted back in my college days and what that song would sound like, from me, now. So I recorded it from the Sofa and thought I'd make it my first release of a Cover Song!

A lot going on at Crossroads Brewery!

So I'm out here, in Seattle, writing music...

I'm realizing that a grin (at least in my songs) is never a good thing. A smile is good, beautiful, lovely... But a grin... That's mischievous and deceitful. Just a sneak peak:

"And then you let me in
A little kiss, and a big ol' grin"

If you've heard me play "Forgive Me (The Devil in Missouri)," you may remember the lines:

"I took her for my wife
And we vowed love for life
But she said it with a grin"

I see a grin, quite separately from a smile, as a devilish and ill-intentioned thing. What are your thoughts?
