After another 6 days in the hospital (due to illness and my groovy, somewhat geriatric lungs) we are home again to begin a second recovery, and through this whole process all of my clients have given me so much grace, love, and support. Always an anxious person by nature, the thought of missing or moving around any opportunity to capture your memories fills me with fear. But all this time my worries have been calmed and my fears have been put to the side as I have been met with such flexibility and compassion! I really am surrounded by amazing people. Thank you all for your kindness🙏❤️ I am working hard to get back to zipping around on my feet, crazily snapping your memories and executing flawless fake falls again and I will be reaching out to get you each individually on the books very very soon!! In the meanwhile - these sweet faces I got to capture (in between hospital stays 😭🙈) have kept me company and brought me smiles through it all!

When the gorgeous, cheerful woman who guided both your babes through preschool ( including morning breakdowns, earth shattering drop offs, and tear filled pre-k graduations ) asks you to shoot her wedding, you jump up and down and scream A MILLION TIMES YES!!! Courtney and Collin said I do on a gorgeous ( occasionally rain soaked ) October day. The angry skies parted for them to walk down the aisle surrounded by their wet-eyed family and friends, and a sea of autumn colors proudly showing off. Shades of yellow and orange and terracotta, and In the center of it all Courtney absolutely glowing radiant in white. I love you both so much and I am so grateful I got to capture your Special day!! (And even drop a few moves on the dance floor) - also- Sedona wanted to know she picked the song for this post!

Libby and Dylan said I do after a hot, sudden summer storm. And the clouds parted seemingly just for them, as she sparkled down the aisle with a boho braid draped down her back. The day was- in a word- enchanted. Every detail carefully crafted to weave together a real life fairy tale so unique and so explicitly THEIRS that each and every guest and vendor felt like they were in on some glorious whimscal secret just to be a part of it. Libby and Dylan- thank you both for letting me share a tiny slice of your perfect day and capture a love that is so incredibly beautiful!!! I felt so blessed to watch you both start this new journey with all of your amazing family and friends!

Amidst all the snow - I am in my happy pumpkin chaos state-of-mind finally catching up on sharing some of my fall sessions I have not had a chance to yet! Like this absolutely stunning family ❤️ Fall is my busiest season, and for the first time last year my Yes-Man heart broke because I simply didn’t have the time/ space to take on all of my wonderful clients who inquired about fall sessions. So this year, I’m going to be offering outdoor Fall Mini Sessions to try and make sure me and my camera can capture as much beauty and is humanly possible ! This has truly been a magical season!!! When I think about how many of you have trusted me with your special holiday memories- taken your time to wrangle your kiddos into the perfect ensembles, stuffed everyone into the car, tolerated my maniacal monkey noises and fake falls, and come out to support me and share this holiday cheer with me and my camera - it really makes me tear up. Thank you to .aestheticnp and her wonderful family for sharing their gorgeous space with me and helping me make Christmas at the Barn a reality! I love you all! And for the most gorgeous chair rental!

HAPPY 40TH TO MY BEST FRIEND!!!! Matt, you are the most amazing dad to our girls. Be it making the 1000th lion book at 6 am, pulling the girls around on the golf cart in the snow, keeping a level head when all of us Riley girls have our “BIG FEELINGS! “ concocting a delicious dinner (that the girls won’t really touch ) or just being your goofy self- our home is always full of laughter and fun and we are all so lucky to have you. I hope 40 brings you epic adventures, lots of bird watching, fulfilling projects, and so so much joy. There is no one I would rather share this life with. Thank you for being equally as weird as me!! I love you! Happy birthday old man !!
