Hi friends! As most of you know, I have a genetic cholesterol disorder called Familial Hypercholesterolemia, a condition that leads to early heart attack and stroke if left untreated.
As a heart health advocate and in memory of my Mom, I work closely with the Family Heart Foundation to spread awareness about FH. I have created a fundraising page to raise money for the research, treatment, and advocacy of this condition -- 1 in 250 people have it and 70% don't know it.
Spreading awareness about FH *literally saves lives* -- treatment can decrease risk of cardiac events by 80%! Please consider joining my team or contributing to the fundraiser; any amount helps save hearts

In one short year, it all happened. I woke up on 10/8/22 with a boyfriend and woke up 365 days later with a husband. In a the ✨blink✨ of an eye. One of the best years of our lives so far🤍🤍🤍💍👰♀️🤵♂️ can’t wait to see what the next year brings us! Happy 1 year engaged & 1 month married, hunnnni 🫶🏼

For a while I’ve wondered what my specific calling is, I know I am here to teach and create community, and I’ve been doing that for years! Now it’s clear to me. To be a force in the FH community. I’m so glad you’re here.

If I can give any bride-to-be one piece of advice, it is to do a first look. I was 100% not going to do it. I wanted Russ to cry when I walked down the aisle. Nope. Not gonna ruin THAT moment for myself.

Had I stuck to that decision, I would have missed out on the sweet, pure shared connection before our ceremony. I felt like we were two teenagers again. Our first look opened the door for us to share our nerves, to comfort each other, to whisper inside jokes. We got to take our pictures pre-ceremony so we could enjoy cocktail hour (and a quiet moment alone afterwards).
Our first look and the moments following it will live in my heart forever.
Thank you for your patience as I relive our wedding day through content for the foreseeable future. I have so much to share. 🤍🤍🤍

Get ready for me to post pictures from our day for the foreseeable future — just sent over some sneak peeks and, to put it literally, we can’t even. 🥹

Here are three things I’m doing from now til the wedding to prioritize my nervous system:
🤍no caffeine
🤍daily meditation
🤍no scrolling when I wake up
These 3 things used to be my norm. Then somewhere along the past year I learned how good lattes were, replaced morning meditation with morning workouts, and fell into the habit of checking my tiktok notifications in bed every morning.
And while there’s nothing *wrong* with any of those choices or habits, the three of them have one thing in common: they activate the sympathetic state. Fight or flight.
Caffeine, scrolling, and working out all release stress hormones.
Again, they’re not bad, I can actually make arguments for how each are healthy, but ✨I✨ notice a difference in how ✨I✨ function when I limit caffeine, prioritize meditation, and scroll mindfully, later in the day.
We’re 11 days away and there’s so much to do! But I’m making sure to stay grounded so I can enjoy every bit.

What a beautiful start to Friday already — a packed FLOW class, a surprise visit from my girl , a private CPR class, and now I’m off to get a latte, nourishing food, and do some more wedding prep. I’m tired and I’m grateful for this self-employed life. 🤍🤍🤍🤍
