What makes our heart sing: organic-style floral design; foraging for unique textures; intimate affairs; and blooms grown on 100% American soil!
Operating as usual
Happiest 4-year workiversary to my home girl Kelsey! A friend who is really family. Thank you for being there from the very beginning of our brick and mortar and helping grow Roadside Blooms to what it is today. We love you!!
We love the pops of blue delphinium. Did you know "the name delphinium is derived from the Greek for "dolphin," because of the fins and nose of the graceful marine mammal. In the tall spikes of these blue and white flowers one might well imagine the leaping dolphins, quick and bright above the froth." 🐬-The meaning of flowers
Did you know one of our favorite Breweries and Restaurants is also a super awesome event space?!
Yesterday was such an exciting day for Roadside Blooms! We had our groundbreaking ceremony for our future location! We won’t be far away just around the corner at Mixson!🌸
Today is the day that we ceremoniously break ground on what will become our new building! It’s just around the corner from our current location. We couldn’t have done this with out each of our clients trusting us with their wedding day floral or any of you supporting our shop. Cheers!! @roadsideblooms_shop

We felt so honored to be a vendor at the last event held at The Wickliffe House as it closed to be restored. This venue has held many beautiful events!
This romantic color pallet has us getting all excited to make you all gorgeous Valentine’s arrangements! ❤️

And just a few more of the reception because we are obsessed😍✨
One year ago today, this beautiful soul joined our Roadside team. Sonny, we are so grateful for your creative heart, tender spirit, and sense of humor. We all love you! Thank you for all that you bring to our team❤️ For those that don’t know, Sonny is an incredibly talented ceramicist (dancer and designer - what can’t he do?)… check out his work: @studio_sontosis_ceramics
Ceremony details ✨
You see the strange and wonderful plant on the right side of the grooms boutonniere? That is a pitcher plant! These plants are carnivorous! The bride studied this plant family and feel in love with them! So for this special day we incorporated them into the personal flowers, the center pieces and even the garlands!
The most beautiful textured garland! We love getting to add dried elements!
We may work with delicate materials but we are coming in with 24ft ladders and a massive tool box 🌸✨💪🏼

Reflection and Big News!
I never imagined in 2012, when I bought this vintage English ice cream truck and turned it into Charleston’s first mobile flower shop, that Roadside Blooms would have taken me on such an incredible journey.
My little side hustle, had traction, and with the support of clients, friends and loved ones it has grown from just me and my little truck to an inspiring shop in Park Circle with 10 amazingly talented staff members who continue to help me build the collective dream.
To a laundry list of supporters both past and present, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. There are big things to come and I’m excited to share the news with you.
Swipe through the images to see our journey and where we are going to next.
(Note: not pictured is my sister-in-law’s garage, my mom’s house, and my dining room which produced many weddings and deliveries from 2012-2017.
Throw in the birth of 2 boys and still teaching Geology full time at the College of Charleston during those years and you can imagine the hustle of a small business owner and serial entrepreneur.)
New building is going to be located in Mixson on Durant Avenue in Park Circle. Roadside Blooms on the ground floor with 4 apartments above.
Beautifully designed by @rootdowndesigns and will be built by Lindsay Nevin’s team at @theflywaycompanies (check out their recent project @therefinerychs)! Many thanks to my partner on this project @bradyqg who is literally helping make my dreams come true!
Wedding details! The Grooms boutonniere, Mother of the Bride wrist cuff and our sweet furry friends floral collar! You can find all these available on our floral essentials packages ✨
The most beautiful backyard wedding right here in Park Circle! This sweet couple has been supporting our business even before they said I do! Not only did they involve us but so many other businesses from our small beautiful community. We can't wait to share more! ✨
We hope you all had a beautiful time gathered with family and friends this past week!
Incredibly thankful today and everyday for this amazing flower family!
We LOVE to add fragrant blooms or greens to your wedding florals. Why you ask....because scents trigger a memory or emotion more than our other senses! For this bouquet we've sprinkled it with lavender! We hope every time this bride smells fresh lavender she is transported back to this special day ✨
In addition to making wedding floral dreams come true for our couples, Roadside Blooms plans and hosts in-depth magical educational experiences for floral designers. We call it The Foraged Collective.
We bring inspiring floral talent to Charleston to teach us their ways but also to learn from one another. The connections are deep. Designers have traveled all over the world, as far away as Hong Kong to attend.
In 2017, we hosted these incredible ladies: @ponderosaandthyme @lovenfreshflowers and @bowsandarrowsflowers.
In 2019, the dynamic duo @sweetrootvillage wowed us with all the tips and tricks of large installations.
We are so excited to once again host Rachel & Lauren of @sweetrootvillage in Charleston in March of 2022.
We will host it once again at @therestorationhotel and the Gadsden House @kshgevents along with the help of the lovely Amy DeVito of @buttercupevents and documented by @clayaustinphotography
This super inspiring and carefully curated experience is limited to 24! Don’t miss out.

Meet Kelsey. One of our talented designers and our shop plant maven! ✨🌱
She's a Mama to an one year old and wife too! On her days off you'll find her going for walks with her family, perfecting a vegan dessert or headed to the beach!
She's also attending @nyiadschool online for Floral Design! 🌸
Next time you are in make sure to say hi and ask about her cauliflower cake! 😄

We love getting to add sentimental pieces to your bouquet. This bride had us add a family brooch. Have a look in the next photo! Some brides have pieces of a mother’s or grandmothers wedding dress wrapped around the bouquet.
Let us know if you’d like to add something special to your personal flowers. We will place with the most care and honor 🤍
We loved getting to create these beautiful arrangements for a proposal! (She said YES!) The future groom planned a romantic proposal at @magnoliaplantation followed by an intimate lunch surrounded by beautiful azaleas and lush dahlia filled arrangements! Stay tuned for more! 🍾🤍
So what happens with the flowers after your magical big day or event?
1. DONATED! 🤝Your event is done and now we clean up! As we go through all the arrangements, candles, etc. we place the fresh blooms in buckets for our friends at @amor_healing_kitchen This amazing non profit provides nutritious, plant-based meals made with love by teen volunteers for people facing critical health challenges. The meals are accompanied by beautiful flower arrangements! 💐How amazing is that!? Make sure to check them out!
2. COMPOST! 🌱If the blooms look sad and don’t make the donation buckets we compost! Why is composting important? Here are a few reasons! Soil loves compost (happy plants!), reduces landfills, creates jobs and composting is part of a whole regenerative system of thought that changes how we interact with our world and how we solve the problems in front of us. Nothing is wasted in nature—everything returns back into the soil to nurture new life. 🌏🤍
Roadside Blooms adorns life’s most important occasions with locally, seasonally inspired arrangements and installations.
We speak the language of flowers and believe every petal, leaf, and twig has a story. Each stem organically influences the direction of our designs and reflects the beauty of local, seasonal flora while embodying the beauty of our surrounding natural world.
At Roadside Blooms, we are committed to using American-grown flowers and foraged elements. It’s an important part of our team’s story, and we take great pride in it. Our arrangements prove that sustainability and style aren’t mutually exclusive, all while elevating the grandest of galas or the simplest of ceremonies.
More simply put, we craft tiny witnesses to your wedding day through nature inspired, locally sourced & seasonal floral designs.
