Dear Parents and Guardians of SOA Students,
I am requesting musicians Hazel Ketchum and Bill Carson to visit my mixed grade level Theatre classroom to teach and perform music from our April play Like I Am by Colleen Reilly. Students will learn how the music of the time period would have enhanced the play, and they will actually become a "Greek chorus" band that interacts, plays instruments, and sings throughout the production.
Hazel and Bill plan on co-teaching in my classroom for the semester. It's important that I raise money as soon as possible, as my mission is to bring amazing humans to my classroom AND to pay them a living wage for their work. With your generosity, this is going to be one of the most interesting plays my students have ever been a part of: part music, part dramatic acting, and part puppet show!
