My opponent is creating fake pictures of me and lying about my record. His lack of integrity is astonishing. He is contributing to a culture of disinformation and his tactics are deceitful.

THE TRUTH: I am a lifelong Democrat and was appointed during the Obama Administration as a federal prosecutor. I stand against Trump and RESIGNED from the Department of Justice when Trump was elected. I am the only Democrat in this race endorsed by Norfolk Democratic leaders like Mayor Kenny Alexander, Treasurer Daun Hester, Sheriff Joe Baron, Commissioner Blythe Scott, and many more.

I am running for Commonwealth’s Attorney to create a safe, more equitable and thriving Norfolk no matter where you live. I’ve been honored by the outpouring of support for this campaign throughout the city, and I know that together, we can turn the page on a Commonwealth’s Attorney’s office that has failed to deliver justice to victims, and bring positive change to Norfolk.

Pope Francis was a shining example of servant leadership. He reminded church leadership to serve, heal, and welcome people. He was also a pope of hope. To those wounded by life he told them, “there is no evil from which God cannot bring about a greater good.” I have come to appreciate more fully what Francis was trying to get all of us to see: a world view where love, mercy, and compassion are evident in our life and in our choices. Such values were evident in Pope Francis’ joyful leadership and goodness, and why he will be remembered for centuries to come. May he rest in peace.
