In response to the WSBT story that aired earlier this week, here is a statement from our owner, Scott Tyler:
In light of the WSBT report, I’d like to provide clarification on what happened and explain our response. First of all, the WSBT reporter unfortunately didn't do the best job of conveying the sentiment of my conversation with her. In addition, I was disappointed that she used a few words completely out of context. With that said, what wasn't mentioned in the report is that I had an opportunity to personally apologize to Mr. Martin before he left the dealership that day, and the technician apologized as well. Although it is standard policy for our customer’s vehicles to be road tested after service, there was no reason for the car to have been driven over the speed limit. We did not take this customer’s concerns lightly and by no means wanted to invalidate his concerns or feelings. We addressed the situation directly and the technician has been disciplined. Our goal has always been to provide the highest level of trusted service to our customers in a friendly, welcoming, and professional environment. We're sorry this situation ever occurred and it won't happen again. We value and appreciate all of our customers, and we look forward to continue serving you in the best way possible going forward.
