We are proud to have been apart of the Murray on Main project in Willimantic CT. This previously abandoned historical building has been renovated and converted into 16 affordable housing units. This space also includes a single unit storefront on the ground floor, new windows and original tin ceiling restoration

We are pleased to announce that Margarita Hardy has begun her career as a full time Assistant Project Engineer at Enterprise Builders, Inc. working alongside Paulina Szarejko in the Project Engineer department.

Margarita graduated from Capital Community College with her Associates Degree in Architectural Science and Engineering. In addition to her academic accomplishments, she also completed her Google Project Management Professional Certificate in 2022.

We are excited to have her onboard and look forward to her future here at Enterprise Builders!!

As a Construction Estimator, your responsibilities will include:
• Deliver quality, service and performance to our customers and partners.
• Engage with architects, engineers and subcontractors during the bidding and budgeting phase of projects via in-person or virtual estimating meetings.
• Thoroughly review construction documents with an eye towards capturing scope, constructability, engineering, and cost effectiveness.
• Attend and survey project walkthroughs for potential bids.
• Develop bid packages, scopes of work, and construction schedules, utilizing Primavera.
• Solicit competitive bids from qualified contractors; analyze and recommend bids based on best value.
• Assemble vetted subcontractor bids into complete, comprehensive 16-division CSI estimates in Timberline format.
• Participate in business development activities, including presentations and interviews to secure projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs using On-Screen Takeoff software in order to understand projects to engage with subcontractors and vendors.

The key attributes for a successful candidate:
• Enthusiasm and energy.
• Organizational and negotiation skills.
• Emphasis in ability to provide strong pre-construction services including:
- Conceptual estimating skills
- Constructability knowledge
- Planning / scheduling capability
• Field construction experience is highly desirable but not required.
• Architectural and/or engineering background a plus.
• Exemplary written and oral communication skills.
• Solid work ethic with high energy.
• Timberline Estimating, Primavera scheduling and On-Screen Takeoff experience is a plus.

We are honored to be working with Easterseals Capital Region and Eastern Connecticut on their Veterans Rally Point location. Special thanks to WTIC News/Talk 1080 for helping us kickoff this awesome project!

Easterseals Veterans Rally Point Groundbreaking   This is certainly not Enterprise Builders, Inc.’s first groundbreaking, but it could be one of our most special. The March 5th groundbreaking was not just physically groundbreaking; it was historically groundbreaking for Veterans all across Connecticut as the Easterseals Capital Region

For nearly a decade, the Enterprise Builders Charity Golf tournament has dedicated all proceeds to support veteran causes, totaling more than $300,000 over the years. This year’s event raised $52,000 for Work Vessels for Vets, Inc a Connecticut-based, all-volunteer nonprofit with the mission to award equipment to injured veterans who are starting a business.

These funds will be used to purchase equipment for several injured veterans, including drones for Maj. David Daly, USMA (ret) with 100% combat injuries whose business “Vigilante Drones” in San Diego Area will survey agricultural fields, and fire damage. Farm equipment will go to the Equine Rescue and Veteran Therapy Farm started by Sgt Sara Hodgkiss in Lancaster, Pennsylvania so she can expand her work with veterans with PTSD.
