Carol Coletta: “Dancing together...is another nudge to get strangers talking to one another and seeing each other differently. Repeat that with some frequency, and you get new ‘neighbors’ in this ephemeral ‘neighborhood’ we call public space.”
Great Public Space is Foundational to Equity Why encouraging the coexistence of unlike-minded people in public space should be your mission

Yes, we’re Open.

For two years, Open has helped Candid discover their identity, their mission, and their voice. For two months, our campaign has been helping people discover Candid at a time when everybody is looking for answers.
Candid gets you the information you need to do good. That starts with asking questions. And these days, every day brings new questions. Over the next few weeks, we'll be posting some of ours—and linking to resources to help you find answers to your own. candid.org/questions

We’re so proud to be on the list of participating companies at http://electionday.org. Clients, collaborators, and friends: Wouldn’t you like to see your company on that list?

Labor Day is an official holiday in the United States that honors workers. And now, Election Day is an official holiday at Open that encourages some very important work: voting. We want everybody to be able to vote—and to help other people vote, too. http://electionday.org

Please don’t forget! Every choice you make can affect every other person, sooner or later. We’re all connected, no matter what.

Today is the 55th anniversary of the passage of the Voting Rights Act.
We honor the dedication of everyone who has fought for our rights and carry forth their legacy today.

No one should have to choose between protecting their health and exercising their right to vote. So in a pandemic, it's never too early to make sure you have a plan to vote.

In case you didn’t see this, it’s about being careful and staying home and wearing a mask. You know, thinking about other people. Their lives depend on it. Pass it on.
We’re all connected, so please remember no matter where you are, your choices affect everybody, no matter who they are.

Today we’re closed for Juneteenth, which celebrates the day in 1865 when the last enslaved people in our country found out they were free. Now it’s a holiday by choice, but it should be a holiday by law. You can help make that happen: http://tinyurl.com/jteenth
This is an image of the Juneteenth flag, which shows a five-pointed star (representing Texas—and the other 49 states) in a burst (representing a new beginning) on an arc (representing the horizon), all in red, white, and blue (for the United States). This was the message of a campaign we made last year with our friends at New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) in Newark. Today, when people are protesting in the heart of that city, we’re thinking about it again. Please speak out, stay safe, and take care to protect what everybody has built there.
Restaurants and stores starting to open again: We want you to be successful. People starting to go out more: We want you to be safe. These signs might help (a little) with both. Download a PDF on our ideas page: http://www.notclosed.com/ideas
