"Keep Living and Find What Makes You Happy" Guest Blogger: Jade Diouf - Juilliard School

https://juilliard.campuswell.com/keep-living-and-find-what-makes-you-happy-guest-blogger-jade-diouf/

"I’ve always been used to the idea that if I’m not dancing, I’m sleeping, but now the reality is, if I’m not dancing, it’s still mid-afternoon and it’s nowhere near the acceptable time to go to bed.

Sure, it’s great to have the time to appreciate life but that can feel like a daunting task when we’re expected to stay inside; I really want to take advantage of this opportunity to find other things that make me happy but that’s hard to do when so much of what made me joyful was growing as an artist and human being alongside my friends."

Thanks to first-year dancer, Jade Diouf, for sharing how she is staying well and prioritizing what matters most during this time of physical distancing.

If you're a Juilliard student and you'd like to be a guest blogger and share how you're navigating this time, email [email protected].

The Residence Hall Advisory Council (RHAC) held a Townhall Meeting last month and discussed some short-term and long-term goals of the living on-campus experience.

Many students showed up and you all came up with great suggestions! We appreciate you!

We hope to eventually address all concerns in one way or the other, but we figured there were a few things that were easy fixes that you'll begin to notice this week and next week:

✨Mirrors in every practice room!
✨Trash cans in every practice room!
✨Paper towel dispenser in the laundry room!
✨Drying rack in the Community Kitchen!

We are so excited to continue to work alongside RHAC to improve your experience. Stay tuned for their next meeting!
