Dani Apple (Ellie Blake) is ecstatic to be making her VMT debut! After growing up in Cleveland, Ohio, she recently graduated from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee with a BFA in musical theatre and an emphasis in songwriting. Favorite college credits include Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson (Rachel), On the Record (Kristen), The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (Lucy), In the Next Room (Annie), and Urinetown (u/s Pennywise). Dani has previously performed regionally at The Barn Theatre, Cain Park, the Beck Center, the Kalliope Stage, and Moonbox Productions. She also performed in the Festival of New Musicals at the Goodspeed Opera House and in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. "This creation and re-imagination of Seussical is so special. I hope everyone who comes to see this show has as much fun and feels as much as we do.

It's rare that you get to come into a space and purely create, not just replicate. But also, in life you rarely get to create. This production of Seussical is unlike any I have ever seen. Not only is every single person in this cast incredibly talented but they are some of the most playful, hard-working people I have ever had the honor to play with on stage.

More specifically, I have to commend my fellow birds. We came into the space ready to do something different. Most productions call for the bird girls to simply be narrators, in this production we do much more than tell the story. We get to interact with the entirety of the story (and each other) with all kinds of sass. Playing a character that is so different from myself is so much fun because you can really create a full character and really go there without judging yourself. My favorite moment is when we realized that our birds had to be unique in character as opposed to one grouping of three birds, and so, Jessie, Mia, and Emma Sparrow were born. The sassiest and most fun bird girls (I hope) you'll ever see! I also particularly love being in Whoville, because is such a contrast to the jungle. And Cindy Lou Who loves nothing more than singing about her tiny town."
