The P-EBT (“P” for pandemic) food benefit of $420 per child is coming to every NYC public school family. These temporary food benefits help cover the cost of meals children would have received at school. Learn more by visiting on.nyc.gov/p-ebt, calling 833-452-0096, or email [email protected]

This month, New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance will finish mailing out P-EBT benefits to NYC families whose children attend public schools. Check your mailbox for a letter from OTDA containing P-EBT benefits – $420 per school-age child – if you have not already received benefits to your EBT account or on your or your child’s CBIC Medicaid card.
All students ages 3-4 or 19-21 who qualify for P-EBT will receive their benefits this month as well.
If you do not receive your benefits by September 15th, contact Hunger Free NYC at 646-355-1475 (for English) or 347-599-1510 (for Spanish) so we can make sure your household is added to the state register and receive benefits. Barring an extension of the Pandemic-EBT program at the federal level, the benefits program will only run through September 30th.
If your family has changed addresses this summer, call the OTDA helpline so your benefits can be re-directed to your new address: 833-452-0096.
