BNGAP board member Dr. Valerie Romero-Leggott MD received the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Excellence Award. A native New Mexican, she has served in many positions including as Inaugural Vice Chancellor for Diversity of the Health Sciences Center, leading the formation of the Office for Diversity at the Health Sciences Center, University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Our session on Restorative Justice was well attended and so informative! Restorative justice is an approach to understanding and responding to crime. In this space discussion focused on LGBTQ+ discrimination in This approach can be applied to all forms of discrimination and other bias related incidents.
