In the final weeks of Pride Month, let's take a moment to celebrate Leslie Feinberg, a groundbreaking writer, theorist, and labor organizer. The author of "Stone Butch Blues" and five other books that honor the transgender and le***an experience, Feinberg's work—both on the page and in the streets—paved the way for meaningful revelations about anti-capitalism and gender liberation.

Epiphany's Fiction Editor Jeff Bond sat down with Chidera Solomon Anikpe, the writer behind "A Nigerian Mother's Guide to Dewinging an Angel," our newest piece of microfiction.

Their conversation further unpacks the themes of queerness and African identity that Anikpe imbues into their work, which will be sure to resonate far beyond Pride Month. Read their conversation and Anikpe's microfiction through the link in our bio!

In the spirit of Jewish American heritage month, we can't stop thinking about "Landscape with Written Statement" by the renowned Lynn Melnick. Through striking images of the natural world, this poem bravely reclaims the voice of those rendered powerless by patriarchy and r**e culture. Congratulations to Meghan Proulx for securing a Pushcart Prize for "Light Wash Denim Styles," which was featured in Epiphany's Desire and Dread Issue. In this story, an offhand remark at a party becomes a hilarious journey through Madewell, a retail store that connects generations of homogenous women who, more than anything, just want to be seen.
