T-Squared designer @brandonsaloy was in awe of the current exhibition, "Faith Ringgold: American People" at The New Museum. Ringgold's "For The Women's House," which draws a steady crowd in the exhibit, was commissioned in 1972 for the female inmates at Rikers Island. The painting imagines the inmates in careers beyond their reach—president, minister, basketball player—and was relocated to the Rose M. Singer Center in 1988 when Rikers began housing men and the painting became the target of vandalism. What exhibits have you checked out lately?

Meet our new intern, India! India is a Fashion Institute of Technology senior studying Spatial Experience Design, with minors in English Writing and Art History. Before interning with T-Squared, India interned as a researcher and editor for the Sign Research Foundation, and also worked as a Research Assistant and Technology Coordinator for Bamboo Canvas. She has now entered the world of experiential graphic design joining the T-Squared team seeking a collaborative work environment where she can explore the many modes of storytelling through language and design. India is always up for a challenge, here she is on her first day at T-Squared, doing a signage site visit of the Columbia Business School's Manhattanville campus.

T-Squared was honored last month with the opportunity to provide graphics for the debut Woodlands Art Collection exhibition at the New York Institute of Technology. "Art, Health and Wellness: The Power of Nature—Through the Eyes of Sculptor Emilie Brzezinski" is now on view in the new Nada Marie Anid, Ph.D. Art Gallery and Student Lounge on the first floor of 1855 Broadway on the New York City campus. Enjoy these remarks by Brzezinski's daughter Mika Brzezinski, co-host of MSNBC’s Morning Joe, from the opening night ribbon-cutting ceremony.

We are proud to announce the official opening of the Queens Public Library at Glendale; a beautifully restored branch brought back to its community. We’ve enjoyed working closely with the Matthew Baird Architects team and Queens Public Library to provide a signage and wayfinding program that compliments the architectural finishes of this historical branch.

I am so proud to have moderated this incredible panel for today’s discussion, “Designing for Success,” as part of the SEGD-NY Chapter segment. T-Squared is proud to announce our contribution as it relates to the interior, exterior and wayfinding signage program for the new North Campus Residential Expansion Project at Cornell University. The project will add five new residential halls to the Ithaca Campus.

The Cornell naming committee sought the names of alumni whose groundbreaking careers and global impact could energize Cornell students and articulate Cornell’s diversity. These buildings will be named in recognition of five key historical figures and groups: Nobel Prize-winning author Toni Morrison, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Nobel Prize winner Barbara McClintock, Asian scholar and diplomat Hu Shih, and the Cayuga Nation, Gayogo̱hó꞉nǫʼ, whose land Cornell was built on in 1868.

We are honored to bring our experience to the design of this campus and the values that it upholds. The first two buildings to open this year!

We're inspired this week by the astounding work of Julie Mehretu after visiting her mid-career retrospective at the Whitney Museum last week. Mehretu's mesmerizing technique of mark-making—which she calls "characters"—layered over meticulously reproduced architectural elevations and plans are a stunning meditation on human migration and how we relate to public space.

We've been honored to work with the @qplnyc team to provide signage and wayfinding solutions for a number of branches, including the newly renovated Glendale branch pictured here (opening this year). Congratulations to the Queens Public Library team for keeping its libraries thriving for the community to utilize and value!

"Architecture can't force people to connect, it can only plan the crossing points, remove barriers, and make the meeting places useful and attractive."

This quote from architect Denise Scott Brown has been on our minds lately as COVID-19 has forced us to reconsider the spaces we live and work in every day for both ourselves and our clients. How can these "crossing points" be reconfigured to protect workers from becoming ill? How do we add more and more barriers between people in order to keep them safe without losing sight of the human need to feel connected to one another? The answer is still unclear, but the question continues to inspire us.
