During my recent trip to New Jersey / New York City, I had the honor of having Her Excellency Ambassador Attallah Shabazz, the eldest daughter of Malcolm X and Betty Shabazz, sitting in the audience listening to my keynote speech at Newark School of Global Studies.

We always known of each other for years and she has been a great admirer of my global work but we’ve never had the opportunity to meet in person until recently. Our conversation was deeply fruitful and we could have talked for hours about everything under the sun if our schedules had allowed.

I look forward to sharing pictures from the Blue Coat Ceremony in Newark this week where I was the surprise guest speaker and author at the educational institution. It’s moments like this that reminds us that the best ones never need a filter.
